Ortho is a major antagonist in the android mobile video game Valkyrie Crusade. She is the former researcher of the Holy Knights and was Elena's good friend before she was captured by Taboo during their mission in the Demon Realm and brainwashed into becoming their servant.

She also serves as the supporting antagonist in the Demon Realm Voyage story as she made her first appearance in The Ravenous Demon and the Frenzied Feast.

Biography

Ortho was born in the Terrestrial Realm before she joined the Holy Knights and became the researcher as she studied the field of magical powers and materials. She later met with Elena, a member of the Holy Knights and the two of them became good friends as they traveled together in their adventures and defending the world from various threats.

One day, she and Elena were assigned to travel to the Demon Realm and investigate the war that have ravaged the land. Once they arrived into their destination, they headed towards the ruins

Death and Redemption

She later appears in the final battle after she regained her mind and shielded Calamity by taking the hit from Ymir's devastating attack, much to everyone else's shock. Fatally wounded, she apologized to Elena for her carelessness

Personality

Prior of becoming the servant of Taboo, Ortho was once a loyal and dutiful member of the Holy Knights and a loyal and good friend of Elena as she was willing to help her out from the situations. However after being brainwashed by Taboo and became their servant, she became cruel, sadistic and cunning as she have no qualms of causing chaos and havoc on the Demon Realm as well as taking control of Sumire and Calamity. She also pretended to act tough especially when facing

However as the story progresses, she was on the verge of resisting Taboo's control over her especially during her confrontation with Elena. However, she did not viewed her former comrade as her friend but blamed her for leaving her to her fate, something that Elena was responsible for.

Eventually, it was revealed that both her thirst for knowledge and her curiosity had led her to unleash Taboo in the first place while unaware of their threat to the Demon Realm due to her short-sightedness. However, it was also her own selflessness which made her to choose to close the gate in order to save Elena and prevent Taboo from releasing into the Demon Realm. Once she was broken freed from Taboo's control, she reverted back to her original self as she sacrificed herself to allow the heroes to defeat Ymir in the final battle, thus redeeming herself in the end.

• Ortho is one of the characters in the game who is not currently playable, alongside Petra, Magister, Illumina, Olvi, and Zeinforce.
