Orticia, is a former antagonist who is now an anti-hero, appears in the PJ Masks animated television series. She was made from a 3,000-year-old seed that originated in a remote forest, which Romeo took from the museum and experimented on. She made her debut in the Season 5 episode "Orticia Blooms."

She is voiced by Markeda McKay.

Personality

When Orticia grows and tends to her plants, she is often calm. However, when others try to disturb them or prevent her from growing plants everywhere, she becomes hostile and uses her abilities to do so. She is also confused over the fact that, despite being told that her plants are spiky and troublemakers, she finds them to be gorgeous.

Orticia lacks the same level of life experience as a typical child because she was produced through one of Romeo's experiments. She doesn't understand the definition of words like "friend," for instance. After aiding the PJ Masks in their victory over Octobella, she eventually did learn about friendship in "Pondweed Party" and made friends with them.

Appearance

Orticia has short venus flytraps at the sides of her head and green hair that looks like leaves. She additionally dons a pink robe composed of flower petals.

Trivia

• She was based on DC supervillainess Poison Ivy from the DC universe.
• Her plant superpower is based on Wildvine's power from the Ben 10 series.
• Her pink jacket from both her book and cartoon counterparts is loosely reminiscent of Rose Quartz’s (aka Pink Diamond) outfit from the show Steven Universe.
• She is the second reformed villain in the series to become an ally of PJ Masks.
  • The first was Teeny Weeny.
• She is the second villain to receive an original episode.
  • The first was Motsuki.
• In "Pondweed Party", she meets PJ Robot for the first time. However, Catboy asks if he remembers PJ the Robot, suggesting that the two may have interacted off-screen prior to this episode.
• Season 6 is the first season where Orticia is completely absent.
