Paper Ninja Oruha is a ninja of the Paper Ninja Clan tasked with eliminating deserters and an antagonist in episode 12 of Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya. After his defeat in the episode, Oruha would turn good and become an occasional ally of Jiraiya.
He was portrayed by Shouhei Kusaka.
Biography[]
After Mimura, an old friend of Tetsuzan Yamaji, deserted the Paper Ninja Clan, Oruha was tasked with eliminating him for his betrayal. He approached the Sorcerers Clan and offered them money for them to locate Mimura for him. However, when he went to pay Retsukiba, the bills he gave him turned out to be fake.
Oruha later ambushed Mimura, only to find he had gone to the Togakure school for protection. Oruha was soon attacked and defeated by Jiraiya, but before he could finish Oruha off, Mimura's daughter Kasumi got in the way and gave Oruha time to flee. It was then that Jiraiya discovered that Oruha and Kasumi were lovers in the past, and still held feelings for each other. Despite his feelings for Kasumi however, Oruha pressed on with his mission.
Before he could kill Mimura however, Retsukiba and a trio of Karasutengu attacked them both to get revenge for Oruha scamming them. Retsukiba fatally wounded Mimura, at which point Jiraiya showed up, fought off the Sorcerers Clan ninjas and knocked Retsukiba into the water. Upon discovering Mimura had perished, Oruha challenged Jiraiya but was defeated by the Jiraiya. Jiraiya charged up his blade to finish Oruha off, but simply sliced his mask in two and gave Oruha the option to desert the Paper Ninja Clan and be with Kasumi. Grateful at Jiraiya's offer, Oruha left his clan and was last seen waving goodbye to the Togakure school as he and Kasumi went off somewhere.
