~ Oscar taunting Diego. |
Oscar is one of the secondary antagonists of the 2002 computer-animated film Ice Age, the first installment in the franchise of the same name. He is part of the pack of cats with Soto, Zeke, Lenny, and Diego.
He was voiced by Diedrich Bader, who also played Warp Darkmatter in Buzz Lightyear of Star Command, Tank Evans in the Surf's Up franchise, Hundun in Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness, Kraven the Hunter in Ultimate Spider-Man, Admiral Crick in the 2015 Disney Junior series Miles From Tomorrowland and Hoss Delgado in The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy.
Biography[]
Oscar was doubting of Diego's abilities, because he slipped up once in bringing the baby Roshan to Soto.
In a deleted scene, he told his packmates of his disapproval of Soto's plans to stay and hunt humans, instead of follow the migrating herd animals traveling south.
Oscar was sent with Zeke to find Diego and warn him to hurry and bring Roshan, or not to come back at all. Oscar made it with the rest of the pack to Half Peak where he attempted to kill Manfred, but was defeated as were the others. When he and Lenny saw Soto killed, the two ran off quickly, leaving Manfred, Sid and a wounded Diego.
What has happened to him and Lenny is currently unknown, as they do not appear or are mentioned for the rest of the sequels, so this makes their fate remains unknown. However, it could be implied that they most likely found some more members and made a pack.
Trivia[]
- Much like Zeke and Lenny, Oscar never appeared in the film's five sequels.
