Jail Chief/BGen. Oscar Duran is a supporting antagonist of Filipino TV series Batang Quiapo (2023). He is portrayed by Bart Guinioga.
Biography[]
He first appeared in the National Correctional Facility after Chief Dolores Espinas was arrested and suspended from office by Rigor Dimaguiba and Augustus Pacheco due to her connection in hiring prisoners as her hitmen. In his first appearance, he was toured by one of Espinas' allies / henchmen Jail Lt. Antonio Macasantos and took him to see the inmates and in his first speech, he vowed that he will spare any inmate from punishment if they admit their participation in Espinas' hitmen activities. But because none of them admitted it, he declared that there will be no food and drinks as a punishment for one week. He then tortured Celso "Mayor" by making him admit who are Espinas' trustees but the latter remained quiet. He even further told Macasantos to inform the inmates that there will be no food and drinks for the inmates until further notice.
Personality[]
He is seen to be a strict official who wants to clear all of Espinas' mess in the jail facility. In spite of his strict leadership, he tends to torture all of Chief Espinas' accomplice by making them admit that they were accomplices of the latter.
