~ Otis B. Driftwood
I am the Devil, and I am here to do the Devil's work.
~ Otis' most famous quote.

Otis B. Driftwood is the main antagonist of House of 1000 Corpses, and the protagonist villain of The Devil's Rejects and 3 From Hell. Otis is the most depraved and violent member of the Firefly family. He is a sadist who makes the freaks for Captain Spaulding's museum.

On two occasions, he wore his victim's skin as a costume and fights with Spaulding for control of the family. Although Otis is albino in the first film, Rob didn't think it would fit the style and realism of the sequel. Otis is not a biological member of the Firefly family. [Gloria "Mama" Firefly adopted him, but not legally.

He is portrayed by Bill Moseley, who also portrayed Luigi Largo in Repo! The Genetic Opera and Chop Top Sawyer in The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2.

Otis is the most violent member of the Firefly Family and probably the evilest. He tortures, rapes, kills, and cuts off his victim's skin and wears them as costumes. However despite all this, he does care for Baby, he and her share a strong sibling bond, despite that they occasionally curse at each other. His relationship with Captain Spaulding is somewhat questionable, as, in the first film, Otis called Spaulding an "old b**ch". And in the second film, they often butted heads with one another.

He also appears to have some little patience with Tiny and Grandpa Hugo as he gives Tiny a glare for letting a captive leave, and he berates Grandpa Hugo for not helping them with the murders. However, despite these traits, he cares very much for his family and will go through lengths to make sure they are not arrested. Otis (along with the rest of his family) never explains why they torture and kill people, so it's possible that they do it because its fun for them.

  • In the first movie, Otis was albino and clean-shaven. But in the sequel, he was a regular Caucasian and had a mustache and beard; Rob Zombie did this because he felt Otis being albino did not fit the style of the sequel.
  • In the song "Pussy Liquor" the lyrics suggest that Otis' biological father's name is Dane.
  • He is named after the Groucho Marx character in the 1935 film A Night At The Opera.
