Otis Skinner is a minor antagonist in Red Dead Redemption 2. He is the leader of the Skinner Brothers, a gang of incredibly sadistic murderers notorious for their extremely brutal methods.
He was voiced by Thomas Poarch.
Biography[]
Skinner was born in 1859. He is the founder and leader of the Skinner Brothers, an extremely violent gang active in Tall Trees, West Elizabeth. The gang's M.O. is to abduct and rob travelers and bring them back to camp, where they are tortured and killed in a variety of horrific ways such as being shot full of arrows, roasted to death over fires, disembowelled and dismembered. They also participate in more mundane activities such as bank robbery and cattle rustling. Skinner's gang are described as "killers and rapers" by local newspapers. For his crimes, Skinner is wanted dead or alive by the Blackwater Sheriff's Department with a reward of $75 for his capture or death.
John Marston can accept the bounty and track Skinner to a Skinner Brothers camp in the forest near Blackwater. The player must kill all Skinner's men and has the option of killing Skinner and bringing his corpse back to Blackwater or hogtying him and bringing him in alive. If killed, police chief Oswald Dunbar will tell the player to leave his body behind the police station. If brought in alive, he will later be hanged in Blackwater. Regardless of what happens, he will be buried in Blackwater Cemetery next to fellow Skinner Elias Green.
Personality[]
Otis Skinner is complete psychopath whose only goal is to kill and mutilate people unexpecting ways. He is also a nihilist who does not care for his own life. He even some racist tendencies, as he calls one of his members an injun and says that he should continue to mutilate to send a message to others.
