Biography[]
Chau's debt to Pilgrim[]
After the death of her previous Regent Kristo, Juliet Chau promotes Otto to take his position. Otto is present when Chau sends her brother Gaius alongside a group of his loyal Clippers to assassinate Pilgrim. This plan is not successful, and every Clipper is killed except for Gaius. Pilgrim, alongside his garrison of Cressida, Castor, and Nix confront Chau over her attempt on his life and present the heads of the dead Clippers. Chau claims that Gaius is the one who planned the attack, but Pilgrim does not believe her, and demands that she provide him with workers or face the wrath of his Dark Ones. Otto looks at the heads and notes that there is one missing: Gaius. Chau is aware of this, and decides to deal with that on her own, and sends Otto to kidnap refugees from a nearby camp in order to provide Pilgrim with the workers her desires without having to sacrifice her own men. Otto and his Clipper force invade the refugee camp, and are met by Castor, who has been sent by Cressida in order to make sure that Chau's forces are successful in their mission. Otto and Castor lead the Clippers into the refugee camp where they begins rounding people up, but they are interrupted by the arrival of the Widow's forces, who attempt to stop Chau from taking anymore. Gaius is among the Widow's forces, and faces Otto in combat. The two seem evenly matched, and Otto even manages to gain the upper hand, but is stopped from killing Gaius by Nathaniel Moon, the Widow's Regent, prompting Otto to retreat with the refugees they've managed to acquire due to him being outnumbered.
Final battle between the Widow and Chau[]
Otto delivers the refugees he and his forces managed to capture, but in the process Castor was defeated by the Widow's forces and captured. Otto presents the workers to Pilgrim, who states that Chau's debt to him has been paid. Otto gives his condolences to Pilgrim about Castor, as he fought valiantly alongside Otto, who then departs and returns with his Clipper force to the Fox Territory. Otto is later present during the final battle between the Widow and Chau's Clipper armies. The Widow launches an invasion of Chau's mansion alongside all of her allies, and they manage to push back against Chau's forces far enough for the Widow and Gaius to break into the manor. The two of them confront Chau, but before they can attack her they are intercepted by Otto, who begins fighting with Gaius. thus granting Chau and opportunity to run. Rather than focus on Otto, Gaius urges the Widow to go after Chau while he deals with Otto so she doesn't escape. The Widow complies with this, and Gaius fights Otto to a standstill, until he finally manages to fain the upper hand and kills Otto. After his death, Chau and the rest of her Clipper force are defeated, with the survivors being granted mercy and sanctuary by Gaius, so as to prove him and the Widow are not like cruel and merciless like his sister.
Powers & Abilities[]
- Martial Arts/Swordsmanship: As a Regent, Otto was shown to be a highly skilled warrior. He was capable of matching Gaius Chau in combat, who was considered to be a match for his sister, a Baron, in combat.
