Otto is a supporting antagonist in the 2023 Disney Junior show "SuperKitties." He's a mute octopus who is regularly seen with Lab Rat, helping out in her evil plans.
His singing voice is provided by Jeremy Jordan, who also voiced Varian in Tangled: the Series and Winn Schott in Supergirl.
Appearance[]
Otto is a small purple and pink octopus with mint green eyes, wearing a lab coat with a green atom symbol and big metal goggles.
Personality[]
Being a silent character, most of his personality, outside of being Lab Rat's assistant and best friend, are left mysterious. However, by the time "Roboctopus" and "Brother Battle" debut, he was shown to be a music enthusiast, playing a keyboard in the latter, and getting a duet with Bitsy in the former.
Biography[]
Season 1[]
Otto first appears alongside Lab Rat in "Get the Boot," where she's showing off a flower she designed after him, which they both like. Unfortunately, some human girl accidentally destroy it, saddening the aquatic friend. They decide to get revenge by destroying all the flowers in Kittydale with giant boots, only for the SuperKitties to trip up their first one, and short out the second one by getting it wet. When Lab Rat remarks, "Boots always come in threes," Otto taps her shoulder and shakes his head "no," reminding her they only come in twos.
In "Cheese Trees," he's shown snacking on strawberries and helps them roll on a tire they turned into cheese towards Kittydale Tower. After the SuperKitties stop them, he offers her a strawberry to eat and claps his tentacles as encouragement.
Later on in "Leapin' Laser," he helps Lab Rat try and succeed at mailing away all the cats in Kittydale by trying to remove the SuperKitties' special goggles they had to protect themselves from being mesmerized.
The scientific duo's friendship was explored in "Snow Day" and "Night Light" with the reason Lab Rat tried melting all the snow and causing a citywide blackout being to make Otto more comfortable. In "Roboctopus," Otto is found crying behind a tree by Bitsy, and she discovers he can sing as the two of them share a song about how they feel replaced by their friends' latest inventions, after which the two singers make the decision to forgive their friends and free them.
In "Furball Blooper," Lab Rat accidentally hits him with her Nappity-Zappity device as they are trying to escape with the blueprints to the first Kittydale rocket.
In "Bundle of Bitsies", Lab Rat uses her Copycat invention on him so they could steal mustard for a pretzel they planned on eating for snack time, and initially manage to overpower the SuperKitties, until they find the reverse button and remove the clones.
In the Halloween episode, "Howloween Cat," Otto's family appears for their first Howloween, and Lab Rat uses the legend of a treat stealing kitten to try and give them a good time.
Finally, in "Cheesenado", he and Lab Rat use a remote controlled tornado made of cheese to rob everyone at the park, until their remote gets sucked up by it because it was made of cheese, which Lab Rat claims was his idea.
Season 2: Su-Purr Charged[]
In the season opener, "Jumbo Rat," Otto accidentally makes Lab Rat huge with their new Go-Big-or-Go-Small ray, and she uses this to rob Kittydale of its jelly supply, only for the SuperKitties to shrink her to normal size and accidentally have Otto enlarged by the same invention, and he heads off to the city's peanut butter factory with everyone giving chase.
He, Lab Rat, and Cat Burglar go after a cheese wheel named the Great Gouda in "Cheesey Chase," under the agreement that if the latter succeeds, they'll make him his own robot to steal whatever he wants.
In both "Dastardly Dumpster" and "Wacky Weather", Lab Rat, intentionally in the former episode and unintentionally in the latter episode, dirties up Kittydale to make Otto happy with fish from the local market and puddles.
In "Brand New Bestie," Otto and Lab Rat have a minor breakup after they can't agree on what to paint their dumpster home.
In "Tiny Trouble", he ends up calling the SuperKitties to try and help him and Lab Rat retrieve their Go-Big-or-Go-Small ray from Cat Burglar after he plans to use it to shrink some instruments at a local concert to make up for destroying the McWhiskers family's by accidentally sitting on them earlier.
Within the episode "Brightest Night", Otto joins Lab Rat for a "no-sleep sleepover" and fires pillows at the SuperKitties using a fluffy pillow flinger, but the experience starts wearing him out, risking his chance to meet his family in the morning.
He and Lab Rat discover the joy of sliding around in "Slippery Situation," after they accidentally slip on butter from Sam and Eddie's spilled popcorn bag. The two of them plan on coating Kittydale in butter with their Butter Blaster drone, but Bitsy manages to shut it off, and Lab Rat uses him as a parachute. The SuperKitties then give them an ice rink filled with butter so they could slide freely, with him inviting Bitsy on the fun.
The unusual scientific duo team up to steal Easter eggs in "Egg-Celent Adventure" to give themselves treats all day long, with Otto helping by tripping Bitsy with paper grass, and tickling Sparks until he let go of their vehicle. After they're stopped and talked into returning the eggs, Otto gets snuggled by a reoccurring trio of kittens.
In "Cheese-Cano," Otto is seen wearing a yodeler costume and sings with Lab Rat as everyone breaks into song while they're flinging explosive cheese puffs at the SuperKitties.
Towards the end of "Super Silly Videos", Otto is seen in a video submitted by Lab Rat of him doing cartwheels in a cardboard box, and their entry ends up winning Chef Marci's contest, getting her latest treat named after his species.
In "Robo-Friends", Otto and Lab Rat chase down Roboctopus, trying to get her to help them steal ketchup crunchies from the ketchup factory. When they realize she just wanted to make friends with Wiggles, he joins the SuperKitties in a song about doing so.
Season 3: Su-Purr Wild[]
In "Muffin Mess", Lab Rat and Otto take a temporary break from their evil ways to enjoy some muffins. The rodent scientist makes a clam and strawberry muffin, which Otto tries to hide to not hurt her feelings, but his attempts to wash his mouth out with milk results in the one muffin becoming tons of them, so he starts placing them all over the city.
Back at the duo's dumpster home, the multiplying muffins accidentally make it start flying, which Lab Rat sees and reluctantly shouts for the SuperKitties help.
Sparks and Buddy manage to stop the dumpster, and Otto comes clean about the gross muffin, to which Lab Rat replies by helping stop the muffins from spawning with her Enough-Already Ray, and the two proceed to clean up the excess ones.
