Pagliaccio is a major antagonist in the second half of the 1997 anime The King of Braves GaoGaiGar. She commands the 31 Machine Primevals in their conquest of Earth. Rather than fight, she assesses the situation from the sidelines and issues orders.
Pagliaccio is a component of one of the Primevals, the Heart Primeval, ZX-31. She fuses herself with the other component, Pasder, and the other Primevals to form the Z-Master, a universe-wide leader for the Zonders.
She was voiced by Konami Yoshida, who also voiced Senishenta from Sailor Moon S.
Personality[]
Pagliaccio is largely a tool for assessing and directing the Primevals' efforts, mechanically doling out percentage-based calculations, particularly the rate of success for her operations and judging how dangerous threats to her plans will be. The only emotion she shows is a slight pang of anger at the revelation of unexpected dangers to these plans.
Her existence being a secret may be pivotal in these plans. Over the course of the series, Pagliaccio does not make her presence known outside of the Primevals at all, even if her orders are motivating them.
History[]
After EI-01's defeat by GGG's Mobile Unit, Pagliaccio is sent to earth with the 31 Machine Primevals. She absorbs the data collected by Pasder on the enemy before she begins directing the Primeval invasion of Earth. Her first action is directing the Fist, Hair, and Jaw Primevals to GGG's Bay Tower Base, and the Primevals utterly destroy it. When GaoGaiGar is deployed to fight the Primevals, their powers utterly defeat it. When the J-Ark arrives to dispose of the three Primevals, Pagliaccio takes notice.
When GGG's fleet reaches Jupiter, Pagliaccio orders the Primevals incorporated into Jupiter's moons to create a warped Klein space to prevent them from engaging. After this, she merges with the core of the Heart Primeval before retreating into Jupiter's atmosphere.
After the defeat of all of the Primevals fused with Jupiter's moons and the complete analysis of Jupiter's THE POWER, Heart Primeval assumes a vaguely humanoid form of white light. When the core of the Arm Primeval fuses with it, it assumes the shape of a human arm from the same white light, and takes the Z-Crystals from King J-Der, assuming the form of the Z-Master.
With the defeat of the Z-Master, Pagliaccio ceased to be.
