Palmtree Panic Zone Badniks are antagonists in the Sonic the Comic comic book series, featured as the main antagonists of the "Seven Badniks" story arc. They are a group of Badniks stationed in the Palmtree Panic Zone on Miracle Planet. At one point, Dr. Ivo Robotnik ordered B.A.R.F. to bring these Badniks to Green Hill Zone to increase their chances of defeating Sonic, only for the plan to backfire when sadi Badniks decided they didn't want to share the zone with "inferior" robots.
History[]
After Sonic defeated yet another batch of Badniks stationed in Hill Top Zone, Robotnik decided that he could raise the chance of victory by mixing up the Badniks' placement across the zones. He ordered his Badnik repairmen, Cam and Bert, to switch Green Hill and Palmtree Panic models.
When Cam and Bert arrived on Miracle Planet and ordered the local Badniks to follow them to Mobius, they initially refused and ordered the repairmen to leave, but gave in when Bert destroyed the Anton that stood up to him as a show of force. After ending up in Green Hill Zone, they declared that they weren't going to share it with "old-style Badniks" and began massacring the local robots, who were too weak to stand up to them. Watching things go south, Cam and Bert decided to intervene, fighting off the new Badniks and rescuing what remained of the old ones.
Cam and Bert couldn't drop the Green Hill Zone Badniks off in Palmtree Panic, as it was already occupied by the Freedom Fighters. Attempts to further intimidate the Palmtree Panic models didn't help either. Instead, B.A.R.F. chose to upgrade the survivors of the Badnik attack into the more powerful Seven Badniks. These models proved to be much more powerful and easily overcame the invading Badniks, who were rounded up and transported back to their home zone to fight Sonic, who quickly began ripping through their ranks. It's unknown if any Palmtree Panic Badniks survived the battle.
