Pantera is an antagonist and a playable character from Pray for Death.
Biography[]
Pamela Gottfried was once a normal youngster who lived a perfectly normal life. Upon attending high-school, however, she decided that boring life was not for her, and so she decided to drop out of school and seek a new lifestyle. Two years afterward she moved away and became a Techno DJ with the stage name of Pantera (panther), slowly but surely growing a large following while traveling all over Europe.
Eventually fame started to weigh on her, and in order to keep herself relevant she started to apply neural implants. These allowed her to connect to her own servers and give her a feeling of energy akin to drugs. One day she inadvertently connected to the wrong server, however, causing her mind to snap. At the end of her performance, she invited a man to her hotel room and killed him there in cold blood. Feeling a intense energy from the murder, Pantera turned into a serial killer, luring many people to their deaths and using the fact she was constantly traveling due to her job to cover up her tracks.
Her last victim turned out to be a undercover agent investigating her crimes. Before dying, the agent called out for reinforcements and revealed her identity, and soon after she was cornered by a entire squad and shot down while trying to escape. With her soul on Limbo, Pantera receives an invitation for Death's tournament, accepting it if only because this would allow her to kill more people.
