Papa Bear is a minor antagonist in SML, serving as the main antagonist of the episode, Goldilocks!, a parody of the clasic fairytale, Goldilocks and the Three Bears.
In-universe he is the role played by Junior in the Y U DUMB Elementary School play of "Goldilocks and the Three Bears".
He is the patriarch of the Bear Family who is very toxic and rude to them. He also serves as Winnie the Pooh's archenemy.
He is voiced by Junior's voice actor, series creator, Logan Thirtyacre who also voices many other characters in the same series.
Biography[]
In the video, the class is told to partake in a class play, which they agree to. Cody gets to be Goldilocks, Junior gets to be Papa Bear, Penelope gets to be Mama Bear, and Joseph gets to be Baby Bear.
In the play, Goldilocks breaks into the bear house after getting lost and eats the porridge. Only one tasted good, as the others were too cold or tasted terrible. She then sits on chairs before going to sleep in the beds.
The Bears arrive to the house and Papa mistakes Mama for having taken his spoon, which begins an argument. Baby tries to calm them down, but Papa rebukes by saying that he doesn't think Baby is his. Mama then takes him to the chairs so they can talk, but Papa gets even more unstable and starts accusing Mama of sleeping with their neighbor, Winnie the Pooh. After a bit of arguing, Baby reveals that Mama was having an affair with Winnie, which infuriates Papa into wanting a divorce.
After the Bears go into the bedroom, they notice that Goldilocks is there, and Mama accuses Papa of cheating. Before the argument could get any more severe, Winnie walks in to say that he brought Mama a pot of honey, saying "I provide for my B***hes". The sight of Winnie further infuriates Papa into slapping Mama, causing him and Winnie to start fighting. Goldilocks sees how aggressive the situation is and decides to leave, but not before singing a song and getting everyone to join in.
Personality[]
Papa is a very aggressive individual. He is shown throughout the video to be ill-tempered and quick to accusations, such as believing Baby isn't his because he is black. He is also very misogynistic, as he constantly referred to Mama as "Woman" constantly. He is also very dimwitted and lack a great deal of common sense, preferring to go for violence first.
Despite this, he did leave the house to check in on Grandma Bear, implying that he has some care for his implied mother. He also dislikes adultery, though this might be out of pragmatic reasons.
