Papi (パピィ) is the tritagonist of the Popee the Performer franchise.
He is Popee Paraphone's father and mentor. He has an eccentric and bizarre personality, and his role in episodes vary between a mentor-type to a morally-grey character.
Appearance[]
Papi is a tall muscular man with black eyebrows and a sharp moustache. He wears an orange and yellow skin-tight harlequin suit and a headcrest resembling the sun. He wears pointed magenta shoulder & waist garments with white balls on the ends, as well as white gloves.
Personality[]
Papi has a flamboyant and bizarre attitude. He is typically nicer than Popee but crueler than Kedamono. He is mostly smart despite his strange ways, but he acts stupid at times. He tries to help Popee improve his circus acts, but these tend to be rather unorthodox. He often punishes Popee when deserved, although through very unorthodox, and cruel means.
He cares dearly for his pet elephant car Paola and hates it whenever anyone harms her. He is also on decent terms with Alien, who he met at Kyoto University's cafeteria. He is generally kind unless somebody (usually Popee) is acting wrongly, in which he can get carried away and disregard the safety of others while trying to serve his own version of justice. He is a bit of a pyromaniac as well, often attempting to solve problems using explosives.
