Party Bro is a supporting antagonist in Smiling Friends who appears in the episodes "Desmond's Big Day Out", "Shrimp's Odyssey", and "A Silly Halloween Special".

He is voiced by David Dore, who also voiced the Forest Demon in the same series.

Appearance

He is a tall, Caucasian human male with a misshapen, dented, wrinkly head and a large, bumpy nose. He has wispy strands of hair emerging from his mostly bald head, and he has bushy, brown eyebrows.

In his debut, he wears a grey button shirt, dark purple/blue shorts, and sandals. When attending the Halloween party, he wears a black shirt with the word “HALLOWEEN!” printed on it in orange text, along with maroon shorts.

Personality

He is depicted as an irritable, obnoxious character with a typical frat-bro persona who is quick to make fun of and chastise others. This is exemplified when he made fun of Pim for attending a party and trying to make friends when he was apparently too old to do so. He also falsely accused the Forest Demon of wearing blackface, and then proceeded to support and cheer on the other party-goers while they murdered him before eating and burning his corpse, showing his violent and maniacal side. However, this also indicates that he strongly opposes racism.

Biography

In "Desmond's Big Day Out," Pim attempts to make friends with him while at a house party with Charlie and Desmond. Pim grabs Party Bro on his thigh to get his attention, but the latter reacts negatively to this advance, proceeding to mock Pim's age, insisting that he should be going home to a family rather than attending parties, causing the partygoers to laugh at him.

In “Shrimp's Odyssey," Pim fantasizes about falling in love with Jennifer, during which Party Bro makes an appearance in his imagined future. He is shown to marry Pim's daughter and become his son-in-law, later fathering a critter child that bears his crooked nose.

In “A Silly Halloween Special," he is a guest attendant of the Halloween party at Smiling Friends Inc. When the Forest Demon crashes the party, he hesitates in shock before accusing the monster of wearing blackface because of his appearance, which leads to the outraged partygoers brutally beating him to death, ripping apart his corpse, eating it, and then lighting it on fire. Party Bro is seen cheering maniacally as the demon's remains are burned.

Trivia

• Party Bro, Doug, and Professor Psychotic are the only characters to be animated with the use of rotoscope animation in the series. Party Bro, however, was the first.
• When renowned vinyl figure company YouTooz released a shadow variant of the figure for the Hazbin Hotel character Alastor depicting him as entirely black, the scene featuring Party Bro's blackface accusations towards the forest demon were used as a reaction image within the community.
