Biography[]
Pastor McDaniels made his debut in Mischief Mikey Ep 2: 13-Year-Old Robs Church For Vision Pro as the pastor of a church. In the opening scene, he encourages his congregation to praise God for having given them time, money, talent, and other blessings. While the congregation is donating money to the offering basket, he quietly pressures Kathy Miller to give $20 dollars instead of the $10 she initially gave, presumably so that he can take more money for himself.
When Mikey tries to steal money from Treasurer Joe's office to buy a Vision Pro, the doorknob turns and Mikey hides under the desk. The person who enters is wearing gloves, and steals a large amount of cash from the box, stuffing it into another box that outwardly resembles a Bible. Mikey uses his phone to take a picture of the shoes the thief is wearing to use as evidence for later. The thief then walks off, leaving Mikey to sigh in relief. The latter then overhears Pastor McDaniels talking to an elderly woman, Mrs. Jones, whose son has leukemia. It turns out, the money is going to pay for his treatments. The pastor informs the elderly woman about the recent theft in the church. Mikey feels guilty, and runs back to the Treasurer's office to return the cash he stole. There, he finds that the cash box had been completely emptied; meaning that the thief had taken the remaining cash. Just then, Treasurer Joe enters and catches Mikey, instantly accusing him of being the thief.
Mikey pleads guilty before telling Joe that he had a change of heart and was going to return the $3,500 he stole, and informs Joe that there is another thief, because the original amount of money was $10,000, while Mikey only had $3,500 on him. The pastor stops by, and Joe informs him about everything, causing Pastor McDaniels to drag Mikey in front of the congregation in order to publicly "expose" him as the monetary thief, in which he harshly condemns Mikey for his behavior. Treasurer Joe speaks up, saying that the money in the cash box was fake, and that the real money was hidden in the red envelope. Pastor McDaniels then leaves the pulpit, as the police had been called and had come to arrest the thief, causing Mikey's mom to become infuriated, calling her son a "low-life criminal". However, Joe believes that Mikey might actually be a hero.
When he and Mikey make their way to the Treasurer's Office along with the policeman, they encounter Pastor McDaniels digging through the red envelope. Joe reveals that the red envelope is a fake, and that the cash in the cash box was indeed the real deal. He now suspects that Pastor McDaniels is the thief, as the latter was supposed to be meeting with the police. The red envelope in Joe's speech was actually just a trap to help them catch the real thief, which Pastor McDaniels fell right into. But the pastor gets defensive, saying that he would never steal anything from his own congregation. The policeman agrees with the pastor, given the lack of evidence.
But Mikey then realizes that the shoes on the flyer for the fundraiser for Mrs. Jones' grandson are the same shoes that the pastor is wearing. He also reveals to everyone the photo he took during the theft, and that the thief was wearing the same red shoes as Pastor McDaniels, but it's still not enough evidence, so the policeman reiterates that unless there is concrete evidence that Pastor McDaniels is a thief, there is nothing that can be done. Just as the latter prepares to leave, Mikey realizes that the pastor is carrying the same Bible in which he stuffed the stolen cash earlier on. He opens the box, showing it to Treasurer Joe and the policeman. Knowing that he has been busted, Pastor McDaniels grabs the box back and attempts to flee, but is tripped over by Jayden, who is waiting outside the office alongside his mother, causing Pastor McDaniels to drop his Bible. Treasurer Joe affirms that the cash inside the Bible-shaped box is indeed the stolen cash, and credits Mikey for helping them catch the thief, with Pastor McDaniels getting arrested.
Personality[]
Pastor McDaniels, as shown in the video, is a thief who likes to steal money from churches. However, when he is about to get caught, he tries blaming/incriminating others so they get in trouble instead, but it doesn't work due to the concrete evidence Mikey showed, and when he tries running away with the box filled with money, but is tripped over by Jayden and is arrested for his crimes by the police.
