Young "Pastor Young" is one of the secondary antagonists of the Vampire Diaries franchise. He was the secondary antagonist in Season 4. He is a servant of the church and part of Silas's cult, he is the father of the new town April Young. His plan is to eradicate the presence of vampires in Mystic Falls accompanied by his great faithful, but when he fails in his goal, he ends up causing an explosion that kills him and other members of his community.
He was portrayed by Michael Reilly Burke.

Season 4[]
In "Growing Pains" of The Vampire Diaries, Pastor Young becomes the leader of the Town Council's efforts to eliminate vampires in Mystic Falls. He neutralizes treacherous council members, captures vampires, and puts them in a barn with vervain. His plan is to use them as bait to lure and destroy other vampires. However, his plan fails, and he ends up killing himself and the entire council in a farmhouse explosion.
Personality[]
Pastor Young in The Vampire Diaries is portrayed as a cold, calculated, and somewhat sinister character. He believes that his actions are necessary to ensure the safety of the human population in Mystic Falls. However, he fails to consider the links between humans and vampires, seeing anyone tied to vampire activity as traitors, including friends, lovers, and family members. This shows his lack of empathy and his extreme views towards vampires.
