Patrick Redfield is the main antagonist of the video game One Piece: Unlimited World Red. He is a former Level 6 prisoner at Impel Down and was able to break out during Blackbeard's break-in.
He is voiced by Masachika Ichimura in the Japanese version.
Personality[]
Patrick Redfield is a cruel man who without hesitation attacks an entire fleet of naval ships and slaughters their crew. He also attacked the Straw Hats without hesitation or remorse. However, as it later turns out, the well-being of his friend Pato is very important to him. He also sincerely apologizes to him for leaving him alone for a short time. He also respects everyone who has earned it. Furthermore, he developed great respect for Luffy and even believed that he would definitely become the next Pirate King. He also expressed his respect for Whitebeard and Gold Roger.
Powers and Abilities[]
Redfield possesses tremendous power and speed. In their first encounter, he effortlessly managed to fend off all the Straw Hats' attacks and defeated Luffy, Zoro and Sanji with just one attack. He also ate from a Mythical Zoan. The Bat-Bat Fruit, Model: Vampire, which allows him to transform into a vampire. This not only gives him the ability to fly, but also allows him to sharpen his teeth to suck the blood out of people. If he does this, he deprives the person of his youth and makes him old and weak. He also masters Haki in the form of Kenbunshoku, which explains his enormous speed and ability to effortlessly dodge all attacks. He can also use his umbrella as a striking weapon, as it has a bat-shaped scythe attached to its handle. He also uses his pen and friend Pato to fight. With this, he can create clones of people and abuse them for his own purposes. Additionally, he has two very strange abilities. He can create blood-red shockwaves and attack his opponents with purple smoke. If that's part of his Devil Fruit Power or how he can create them is unknown.

Past[]
When he was a rookie, he still called himself "Pato" and knew the musician from the Rumbar Pirates, Brook, when he was still human. Brook also knew the young rookie named Pato. At an unknown point, Redfield met his companion and called him Pato, while from then on, he went to sea with his real name Patrick Redfield. Whether Pato already had his Devil Fruit Power or got it from Redfield is unknown, but the two became good friends. One day, Redfield was captured by the Navy, taken to Impel Down and imprisoned in Level 6. However, when Blackbeard broke in and freed all the prisoners, Redfield also managed to escape.
Present[]
Initially, he attacked and destroyed many naval warships, creating clones of Smoker and Kuzan to aid him. When Kuzan's clone was asked why he was doing all this, Redfield simply had him killed. Shortly afterwards he noticed that something was missing. His pen Pato. When he met the Straw Hat Gang and Pato, he created a clone of Caesar Crown to fight against the pirates. When they defeated him, he also created a clone of Sir Crocodile. He was also defeated by the gang, and so the clones of Rob Lucci and Hody Jones followed. After Jones' defeat, Red himself intervened and destroyed the clone. The gang, who thought he had killed the Fishman, were shocked at his appearance, but Pato immediately ran to him and welcomed him. Now Luffy, Zoro and Sanji challenged Redfield to fight. But none of them were a challenge for him. Luffy was knocked out after one kick, and Sanji and Zoro were also defeated after an attack. When he took on the rest of the gang, Pato stood in his way because he wanted to protect the gang. Red ordered Pato to immediately change into his pen form. So he used it to create a clone of Pato himself. He then left Pato behind with the defeated pirates. He then created more clones of pirates the Straw Hats had already encountered, such as Wapol, Blackbeard and Enel. Red and Clone Pato met the gang again on Skypia, where Sanji faced him alone. But before Sanji could land a single hit, he was hit by an attack from a cloned Robin. As before, Red created many clones to use against the Straw Hats. This time it was Ace, Borsalino, Sakazuki, Whitebeard and Hancock. After traveling to Transtown, Red once again stood in their way. This time he recreated all the clones he had already used.
After a long battle, the Straw Hats once again demanded a personal battle against Redfield. But before the fight, he ate some of his devil fruit and then kicked Pato into a building. Luffy attacked him, but Red was able to fend off all attacks and ultimately sucked the youth out of Yadoya, leaving him in an old state. He then transformed into a vampire hybrid and fought against the Straw Hat Gang. After a long battle, Luffy decided to take on Red alone. After a short fight, the vampire managed to deprive Luffy of his youth as well. In his weakened state, Luffy had great difficulty standing up to Red, but he eventually managed to take Redfield to the ground. When the young pirate wanted to launch another attack, Pato defended Red from Luffy, making him realize that his friendship with Pato was far more important than all the power in the world. Red then gave both Luffy and Yadoya their youth back and challenged the young pirate to a fair fight. After the fight, which left little trace on Red, he and Pato wished the Straw Hats good luck on their further journey. Beforehand, he exchanged a few words with Brook about the topic of respect.
Some time later, Pato and Red were sitting at a dock in Transtown. Pato apologized to Red for doubting him. Red, in turn, apologized for leaving him. Afterwards he said a few words of respect to Whitebeard and Roger and that he was sure that Luffy would follow in their footsteps.
