Biography[]
Past[]
Greco worked as a lifeguard chief for several years and built himself up an impeccable record and esteem in the community.
Privately, he was a sexual predator who recruited candidates and falsified their records to get close to them, regardless if they were qualified. He'd groom them by being a caring menton until raping them, indiscriminate of their gender and intimidate them into keeping quiet. He'd also dock their pay if they refused him and keep the money for himself. Because of his sabotage in recruitment, several people drowned because of the incompetent lifeguards' and many deaths were reported but Greco's part remained hidden.
"Breakwater"[]
In 2022, one of his earlier victims Diego Rodriguez had an outburst when seeing Greco with his sister and attacked him, only to get pulled off. Diego later got drunk and reported to SVU of Greco's crimes. When questioned, Greco denied everything and feigned empathy by calling Diego a troubled kid.
Later, Greco decided to silence Diego by having him swim in his hungover state to deep water, while ordering the other lifeguards not to help him. As a result, Diego caught in a strong current and Det. Joe Velasco rushed to save him but he ultimately drowned to death. SVU got suspicious of Greco and looked into more candidates, finding Diego's ex-girlfriend who was unaware of his rape until informed and she revealed her rape was reported. The DNA in the rape kit was a match to Greco, who was arrested for serial rape. His arrest was met with backlash from the community, with a politician even giving her support and Greco used his connections to have other victims keep quiet but this only increased suspicion.
In court, Greco defended his actions by trying to clarify that he had consensual sex with the candidates and attempted to deny his orchestration of Diego's death by stating he was unaware of the current. However, his defense was destroyed when several candidates came forward and revealed he intimidated them to keep quiet about his falsifying documents, despite being aware that he knew they were incapable of swimming. It was also brought up that because of this blatant negligence, several people drowned to death. Greco was brought in for a deal, where he either serves a life sentence or take a plea deal.
He ultimately took the plea and was sentenced to thirty years imprisonment.
