Paul Thomas is the titular main antagonist of the 2006 Newgrounds animation Jesus Christ Porn Star and a minor character in the 2007 three-part animated psychological horror series Alfred's Playhouse.
He is a caricature of Paul Thomas who kidnaps a dog named Alfred and tries to rape him to songs from Jesus Christ Superstar.
Biography[]
Jesus Christ Porn Star[]
Paul kidnaps Alfred the dog and takes him back to his "porno directing lair", strips naked and tries to solicit sex, which isn't reciprocated by Alfred. Alfred tries to run away, but Paul grabs him and positions him on the bed, ready to molest him, until the real Jesus Christ arrives, interrupting Paul, telling him off and saving Alfred. When Alfred tries to thank Jesus, Jesus randomly breaks down into a screeching fit, causing both Paul, Alfred and others to run away in fear. When they're gone, Jesus sits down on Paul's bed and makes himself a peanut butter and jelly sandwich.
Alfred's Playhouse[]
In Alfred's Playhouse Part 3, when Alfred is being raped by the Playhouse Friends, Paul shows up for a split second in a cameo.
Trivia[]
- The canonicity of the shorts before Alfred's Playhouse and its prequel short Rise of Alfred is dubious, and Paul's cameo in Alfred's Playhouse is likely nothing more than a reference to JCSS, however one could theorize that in the Alfred canon, Paul Thomas is a rapist who kidnapped Alfred, which would explain his cameo in APH, appearing as another traumatic rape memory.
- With how Jesus appears in the short, the way everybody bends to his will upon his arrival and his act of kindness towards Alfred, this could explain Alfred's infatuation with becoming Jesus Christ in the later Alfred shorts.
- Another Alfred short from 2009 called Father Oceania features a very similar plot to Jesus Christ Porn Star, but with a different character named Phat Dawg (named "Black Person Alfred" in the description of the short) instead of Alfred and "Father Oceania, the underwater sex god" in place of Paul. This short is different in that:
- Its main antagonist, Father Oceania, is nowhere as evil or depraved as Paul, simply dancing for Black Person Alfred, who takes on the more villainous role (arguably more evil than any of his other appearances as Phat Dawg) and attempts to kill Father Oceania with a meat cleaver, but fails tremendously.
- Instead of the short ending with Jesus Christ saving Black Person Alfred (or whatever the Father Oceania equivalent of Christ would be), the short instead cuts to Emily Youcis' trademark "Metalpocalypse Porn".
- Paul is the only real life pop culture villain in the Alfred videos (excluding Michael Jackson) to not have some sort of explanation of how he isn't the real iteration of himself. This is more than likely because he's from the 2005 - 2007 era of Alfred videos, being outside the mainstream Alfred canon, and his cameo in APH being nothing more than a reference.
- Laverenti Beria, in reality, is simply a man who looks like him and is also a depraved evil sexual abuser.
- Hitler and Stalin are clearly just hallucinations bought on by Dictator Pickles.
- Donald Trump, along with Obama & Hillary, are not their real selves, but a completely uninformed person's idea of Trump, Obama and Hillary after being told about them by an online right-winger.
- MC Bushpig likely isn't even intended to represent the real rapper Bushpig Scatbutcher, just sing his lines in EAT MY ROTTEN MEAT 2012, as the real Bushpig Scatbutcher dressed differently from the character (and also appeared as a separate character within the same music video).
- Tyler, The Creator isn't exactly a portrayal of the real Tyler, but the fictionalised version of him from his infamous debut horrorcore albums BASTARD and GOBLIN.
