The Peddler is a minor antagonist of Child's Play. He is a homeless man, who sells various goods that he collects in his shopping cart.
He was portrayed by Juan Ramírez.
He happens upon the Good Guy doll that has Chucky's spirit inside, and the next morning he hangs around in the alley outside where Karen works. He sells it to her for Andy's birthday, at half the cost of a store-bought doll.
The next night, after Karen learns that the doll is alive and killing those around her, Karen reapproaches him, demanding to know where he got the doll. He wants to know what he'll get if he tells her, but since she is not carrying money, he tries to rape her. However, Officer Norris shows up and punches him before he could hurt Karen. He forces the peddler to tell them where he found the doll, to which he reveals that he found it at a burnt down toy store. Mike finally figured out the clues that the store is the same one that Charles Lee Ray died in and that he is still alive, as a doll.
- It's unclear why the Peddler wasn't arrested for trying to rape Karen Barclay and was simply let go by Mike Norris.
