Pedro Hernandez was a villain that appeared in the TV show NCIS. Hernandez was the man who killed NCIS Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs' wife and daughter.
Biography[]
He is the leader of the Reynosa Drug Cartel in Mexico and is also the father of Paloma Reynosa and her brother Alejandro Rivera. It appears they were close, as his children later grew up to seek vengeance for his death.
In 1991, he killed Marine Sergeant Tanner and this was witnessed by Shannon Gibbs who identified him as the culprit and agreed to testify in court. Catching wind of this, Hernadez decided to silence her by stalking her for weeks. When Shannon and her daughter were being driven by an NIS agent sent to protect them, Hernadez used a sniper rifle and shot the agent in the head, killing him instantly while causing the car to crash and kill the passengers. With no other witnesses, Hernadez was acquitted and returned to Mexico.
While driving one day, Hernadez was killed by marine gunnery sergeant Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Shannon's grieving husband and Kelly's father who sniped him from afar. In a form of cruel irony, Hernadez died the same way as Gibbs' family did.
Legacy[]
His daughter Paloma inherited his cartel, transforming it into a powerful organization while son became an official for the Mexican Justice Department when in reality, he was secretly relaying info to his sister. Both sought vengeance for the murder.
When Gibbs (now an NCIS agent) was captured in Mexico, Paloma and her brother revealed they were aware he really killed their father and soon offered him an alternative to live. Paloma requested Gibbs start working for her or she would kill his family and friends. Gibbs refused and revealed in the many years since, he had no regrets in killing Pedro before he later escaped.
On the 25th of May, Paloma, along with two of her men went to Stillwater, Pennsylvania and attacked Gibbs' father Jackson Gibbs' shop, for her to get even with Gibbs on killing his father. However, Gibbs had already warned him, as Jackson was ready and fought back with his Winchester rifle before he escaped as Paloma`s men fired on his shop. As a result, Jackson became a target too.
Four months later Paloma was lured to a safe house she believed Gibbs, Jackson, and Mike Franks had taken refuge. Alejandro arrived separately, having been tricked into believing Paloma to be dead, Alejandro opened fire on the safe house with an assault rifle believing Gibbs and his father to be in it. After being arrested by NCIS it was revealed it was actually Paloma who was in the house, and Alejandro had accidentally killed his sister, possibly due to it being perhaps a trap set by NCIS.
Sometime later, Alejandro was arrested and the Reynosa cartel likely crumbled without a suitable heir, thus silencing Hernadez' legacy.
NCIS later uncovered Alejandro was lying after it is revealed his cousin was the owner of the club that got broke in and also revealed he used his connections with the cartel and government to acquire funds to support his girlfriend and funnel his alliance with a prison gang. He requested one favor the death of Agent Gibbs, a request they were willing to carry out because Gibbs and his team killed a majority of the leadership. After his role is uncovered, Gibbs visited him and reveals to Alejandro that he killed the assassin sent after him and his girlfriend gave him up. Alejandro was speechless especially when Gibbs tells him his cohorts are dead and that his role will be revealed. Realizing he's beaten, Alejandro spoke to Gibbs and acknowledges though his father took Gibbs' family from him that Pedro was still his father and how he yearns for Gibbs' death because he took his family and made him this way. Gibbs tells Alejandro that people choose their paths and Alejandro chose to be scum like his father.
The rest of NCIS later discovered what Gibbs did and knowing that Hernadez was a criminal and the grief Gibbs endured, they buried evidence implicating him and kept his admission to themselves.
