Penelope Taynt is an antagonist on The Amanda Show. She is Amanda's number one fan and she will do nothing more than trying to get a chance to meet her idol Amanda Bynes but always fails.
She was portrayed by Amanda Bynes herself, who also played Judge Trudy on The Amanda Show as well, and Marianne Bryant in Easy A.
Biography[]
Penelope is depicted as Amanda's Number one fan. She has the habit of interjecting the word "please" in almost all her sentences (though in her website she explains that she was always told by her parents to say "please" when she wants something, hence "Amanda, please!" since she wants to meet Amanda). Between segments in every show, she uses some harebrained scheme to try and meet Amanda, often with the help of Drake or Josh but never succeeds, though she is at times exceedingly close to doing so. She even has her own website www.AmandaPlease.com in which has games from the show as well as videos of Amanda doing things like talking to a parrot or gargling. She has younger brother Preston who occassionaly accompanies her in her attempts to meet Amanda and bothers her to order him a sandwich.
Appearance[]
Penelope has a black hair that are cut into a bob and wears a buttoned-up vest, a plaid shirt with gray shorts, alongside nerd glasses, black socks and shoes. She also has a tattoo of Amanda's face on her stomach (only revealed once in the series premiere).
Personality[]
Penelope can be extremely stubborn when it comes to meeting Amanda and won't hesitate to harm others that stand in her way or she will simply use them to help her to meet Amanda. She always resists arrest and harbors a deep hatred of the shows's security guards. Due to her obsession her parents made her visit the psychiatrist. Penelope, however has a crush on Trevor, a son of one of the guards, but even this won't stop her from watching Amanda Show during their date. However, she appreciated his efforts when me made a picnic for her above the stage of the show.

Trivia[]
- Many fans of The Amanda Show initially did not recognize Penelope Taynt being played by Amanda Bynes herself, and thought she was played by a different actress. There were a few occasions throughout the show were both she and Amanda were on screen together, giving viewers the impression Penelope was not played by Amanda.
