The Penguins are the main antagonists of the Helluva Short "Mission: Antarctica" of Helluva Boss. They are a gang of penguins that are highly territorial and aggressive I.M.P is hired to kill presumably as a job from one of their victims.
They are all voiced by Brandon Rogers, who also voices Blitzø Buckzo and Loopty Goopty in the same series and Katie Killjoy in Hazbin Hotel.
Biography[]
In Antarctica, a researcher is killed by some man-eating beast. He didn't get a good look at them to know what it was, but he commissioned I.M.P. to kill it before it could kill his research crew.
By the time they arrive though, they find the entire research crew to have already been slaughtered. They soon see a leopard seal running their direction which they believe to be the one responsible, and they put it down. Upon examination though, they find bite marks and realize it was running away from something.
They soon see a penguin up a mountain covered in blood and figure it to be the culprit, firing one bullet to take it down. Just then an entire flock of penguins appear. At first, the imps assume them to be friendly until the penguins start spouting slurs and start charging toward them.
Realizing the trouble they are in, the imps activate the Asmodean Crystal Blitzo got from Stolas to go back to Hell while Millie ignites a gas leak to blow the penguins up.
The leader of the penguins survives and stands there shouting slurs.
Trivia[]
- While the penguins managed to grievously wound a leopard seal, ironically leopard seals are the main predators of Antarctic penguins in real life.
- Of course, it being the other way around in the Hellaverse is an obvious joke revolving around their comically aggressive nature.
- Although they are animals, more than one fan has noticed that the penguins are quite muscular, as you can see that their flippers are fibered and that they have a broad chest, something that denotes muscular development.
- Judging by the yellowish patch under their beaks and their habitat in Antarctica, it is more likely that the penguins are Emperor penguins rather than King penguins.
- Merchandise of the penguins and the subtitle "Slurs" resulted in the show receiving backlash from people who were confused and thought the shirt was actually saying a slur.
