The Perfect Decepticons are major antagonists of Transformers: Cyberverse, serving as the final antagonists of Season 3 and the titular main antagonists of the TV film finale of the same name. They are supersoldiers created by Megatron X after his victory in the Great War, free to use the Allspark to create them, who all would be later reprogrammed to be his mindless slaves with a need for dominance. Following Megatron X's death, they have waged war against each other to claim the role as leader, with eventually Tarn taking the role using the Cortex Helm.
Biography[]
Past[]
These were individual beings who were brought into Cybertron in bodies designed by Megatron X to be as invulnerable to any attack as possible, creating the perfect supersoldiers. However, due to their individuality, Megatron X then mindwiped them to become mindless slaves that will only obey his will. Succeeding in his goal, Megatron found no use of his old Decepticons, having his Perfect Decepticons wipe them all out, leaving only few alive, that is Astrotain and 3 Insecticons. After they all were rescued by the main Megatron, who also stole Megatron X's Matrix of Leadership that he stole from Optimus he gunned down, Megatron X had his Perfect Decepticons prepare for an invasion to the main universe.
Season 3[]
The Perfect Decepticons make their debut at the end of "Silent Strike", having already breached the Cybertron of the main universe and started their battle, which continues until the next episode, "The Other One". After the 2 Matrixes combine their powers and empower both Autobots and Decepticons, the Perfect Decepticons start being knocked out and be sent into Unspace, to which Megatron X enters the battle to kill his main counterpart and reclaim his Matrix. About to insert the Matrix once again to his body, Megatron X has the Perfect Decepticons attack Bumblebee and corner him when he snatches it away from him. The Perfect Decepticons were then forced to flee after Megatron X was in a frozen state after his Matrix was destroyed by a fragment of Windblade's spark and frozen by Optimus Prime's Matrix.
Perfect Decepticons[]
Megatron X eventually succumbed to his wounds and died while imprisoned on Astrotrain. Seeking to avenge their fallen master, the Perfect Decepticons shoot at Astrotrain, slowly killing him. After they have avenged their master's death, the Perfect Decepticon programming forced them all to fight each other, attacking and attempting to kill each other to show who is the strongest of them all and lead. One Perfect Decepticon, the only one to free himself from the programming, was Tarn, who ends up diverting the entire conflict towards Cybertron, leaving the entire planet shocked on how they are attacking each other rather than them. The Autobots and Decepticons team up with a Perfect Decepticon who gained free will, Tarn, who used them to seize the Cortex Helm and brainwash his entire race to his will. With this, he has the Perfect Decepticons start another Great War and wipe out the Autobots while kidnaping Prime to have him beaten to pulp and forced to defend himself from multiple Perfect Decepticons. Eventually, the Decepticons refuse Tarn's offer to join him, to which Tarn orders the Perfect Decepticons to execute every Autobot and Decepticon until Soundwave takes control over the Cortex Helm to free the Perfect Decepticons from Megatron X's and Tarn's programming and sacrifices himself to stop Tarn from taking control over them again. Now freed, they leave the Autobots and Decepticons alone and remain on Cybertron as citizens alongside their former enemies.
Trivia[]
- Their designs were based on Tarn from Transformers: More than Meets the Eye, to which upon changes with the plot on The Perfect Decepticons, the Cyberverse version of Tarn became a member of the race.
