~ Moncaldo confessing to killing Maria because he was jealous |
Perry Moncaldo is the main antagonist of the Law & Order: Special Victims Unit episode "Remember Me In Quarantine".
He was portrayed by Austin Reed Alleman.
Biography[]
Perry is an aspiring screenwriter and charity worker who lives with several roommates in New York City. During the COVID-19 pandemic, he takes social distancing and masking requirements very seriously. He is angered when his roommates bring strangers over to party and have sex, believing that they were risking his and others' health.
He bonded with his newest roommate, Maria Ferraro, an Italian exchange student, and developed romantic feelings for her. When he hears Maria having sex with his roommate Lexie York and her drug dealer Sean Thomas, however, he becomes insanely jealous. He confronts Maria the following night and tries to kiss her, but when she rejects his advances, he flies into a rage and knocks Maria unconscious. Unaware that she is still alive, Perry puts her body in a freezer. Maria desperately attempts to escape the freezer, but she freezes to death before she can claw her way out.
When the NYPD's Special Victims Unit notify Perry that Maria had been killed, he gives them false information about their roommates, which led to Lexie and Thomas being arrested for Maria's murder. Soon enough, however, the SVU detectives suspect that Perry is the murderer. Detectives Fin Tutuola and Amanda Rollins question him and tell him that Maria was still alive in the freezer; horrified and stricken with guilt, Perry breaks down and confesses. He is arrested and imprisoned for kidnapping and murder.
