The Pet Buster is one of the two major antagonists of the Italian cartoon Puppy in My Pocket: Adventures in Pocketville. He is the arc villain of the "Big City" segments of the episodes, where Kate and Magic try to find Princess Ava with the help of her acquaintance, Wallace.
He is voiced by Wayne Forester in both US and UK dubs.
Biography[]
Not much is known about the Pet Buster's past. However, it is known that he is notorious by strays to roam the streets and alleyways of the Big City in search of stray dogs and cats to place in his abusive mill and then sell them off in auctions in order to make a lot of money in return. Many strays tremble in fear of him capturing them, though some are brave enough to face him off, including Wallace. However, many adults are unaware of his shady practices behind closed doors.
He sets his eye on Ava, whom he finds out is one of the two members of a very rare species of cat, Felis aulicus. This was where he begins the hunt for her, tracking down every area in the city where she could be.
At the Big City amusement park, once Kate's dog Magic finds Ava and runs towards her, he captures her, much to Magic's sadness. Wallace attempts to fight back, only for the Pet Buster to retaliate by knocking him unconscious.
Once he meets with Kate, he sets an outrageous price on Ava in order for her to obtain her: one thousand gold coins. Kate eventually gets what he asked for, only for Eva to intrude through the Communication Shell. From this, he makes a deal with Eva and was promised that he would be given as much pets to sell if he holds her sister Ava hostage for ransom. Eva also tells him that Kate and Magic are in possession of one half of a very important jewel she had been longing to get her paws on— the Friendship Heart. Although the Pet Buster was initially confused on the existence of talking animals and magic, he agrees to what Eva had to say.
The Pet Buster's next goal was to get Eva what she wanted, which meant that he had to break into Kate's house and take the jewel from her. He knocks out Peter, Kate's father, with a spray, and continues on through the home, eventually encountering numerous traps and tricks set up by Kate and Magic. Once he was trapped in Kate's room, the girl calls the police on him, and he is taken to prison for burglary. However, it wasn't long until he was released, and he sets out to find Princess Ava now that she and other pets were set free.
Knowing that he will never get Ava now that she had returned back to Pocketville, he settles for Eva to take her place for the time being as his prized Felis aulicus, holding her as prisoner instead.
