Pete is the secondary antagonist of the 2021 Warner Bros. hybrid film Space Jam: A New Legacy, the sequel to the 1996 classic film Space Jam.
He is the right-hand and servant of Al-G Rhythm, who helps him on battling LeBron and the Tune Squad in Basketball until his betrayal of his master.
Personality[]
Pete was originally loyal to his master Al-G, doing everything his master wants. Similar to his boss, he can get annoyed quite easily and is rather unfair. When Pete moved the basket so Dom can score points, he is confronted by LeBron and Foghorn Leghorn. Instead of listening to their rants over his actions, he gives Lebron a technical foul and ejects Foghorn from the basketball arena.
Unlike Al-G, Pete isn't heartless. He does play fair by some rules of the game; when the Goon Squad started to lose and Al-G wanted to him to call out, Pete refused at first until his boss threw a chair at him that caused him to swallow his whistle. When Dom and Lebron make amends and the former switched to the Tune Squad, Al-G wanted Pete to forbid that. However, Pete, touched by the father and son reunion, tearfully allows Dom to change teams, much to Al-G's frustration. He was also concerned when Bugs Bunny began to glitch out after he performed a move that deletes the performer so his friends could win the game.
Appearance[]
Pete is a small teal floating algorithmic robot-like creature with long thin mechanical arms and big blue eyes. he speaks an anonymous algorithmic language, and has a high-pitched voice.
Biography[]
Space Jam: A New Legacy[]
Pete first appears when he is with Al-G Rhythm, when the latter interacts with him about nobody noticing him as he explains his plan on having LeBron James as his replacement.
During the movie, Pete helps Al-G in his plans, such as upgrading Dom. However he betrays Al-G during the game and it is assumed that this was because he threw a chair at him which made him swallow his whistle. After Al-G became "posterized" by LeBron, Pete flew through the poster and shredded his former master.
After LeBron and his family returned to the real world, Pete and the speculators remained to stay at the Serververse.
