Peter "Pete" Puma is a recurring villain in the Looney Tunes series of theatrical and TV short features.
When first introduced in the 1952 cartoon "Rabbit's Kin", he tried to eat a little rabbit named Shorty, who was rescued by Bugs Bunny. A regular gag involved him and Bugs having tea. Bugs would ask him how many "lumps" (of sugar) he wanted, and then would pound him on the head with a mallet until he got lumps. He is no match for the more cunning characters, especially Bugs Bunny. Like many other very stupid villains, he thinks himself quite bright.
In Tiny Toon Adventures, he appeared in a number of episodes, mostly in the role of a janitor, but he got many different roles in the series.
In the 1996 movie Space Jam, he appeared as one of the Looney Tunes, who cheered for the Tune Squad to defeat The Monstars.
In the 1997 cartoon "Pullet Surprise", he tried to catch a chicken and was tricked by Foghorn Leghorn.
In Looney Tunes Show, he is given more heroic role, being one of Daffy Duck's high school friends, along with Porky Pig and Marvin the Martian. He assisted Bugs, Daffy and the gang in some missions.
In New Looney Tunes, he appeared in a number of episodes, where he was one of the Sylvester's henchmen, alongside Claude Cat. They are often given villainous roles. He also was an evil henchman of Elmer Fudd and Blacque Jacque Shellacque in some episodes.
In Looney Tunes Cartoons, he appeared in a number of episodes, mostly against Bugs, where he always gets defeated. He also appeared as one of the guests for Bugs' 80th birthday in "Happy Birthday, Bugs Bunny".
