Books[]
Early life[]
Not much is known about Petey's upbringing. However it is known that Petey was raised by his mother who taught him the ways of the world. Petey also had an abusive father who would later be presumably responsible for his flat tail.
Critter Scouts incident[]

~ Petey contemplating his life as a Critter Scout. |
At some point during his childhood, Petey would join a scout group known as the Critter Scouts in hopes of making the world a better place. He would then befriend three other scouts name Piggy, Crunky and Bub. Together, they would do many great deeds and earn many badges along the way.
One day, however, the four friends were taken to a putt putt course where the scout supervisor told them to wait there as he went to get some coffee. Then, a pretend storm broke out and the four went on board a fake boat and eventually were deserted on a pretend island. Petey then told the other three that they need their scout skills to survive and he hopes that one day they could build a utopia. He then used Piggy's glasses to light a campfire. Nine minutes after, Crunky and Bub turned into bloodthirsty cannibals. They corner them at the edge of a cliff. But then the scout leader returns and the four snap back to reality. He yells at the four and Petey is blamed for the entire ruckus. Petey is then kicked out of the scout group and gets all his good deeds erased.
After his resignation, Petey decided to get revenge on his former friends for betraying him. He did this by calling the Animal Rights Union, which then led to anti-discrimination lawsuits flooding the scout organization. After a week, the scouts was shut down for good.
Petey's father's abandonment[]

~ Petey revealing his father's abandonment. |
Some time later, Petey's father would abandon him and his mother, forcing them to leave their old home and move to the Happy Home Shelter with little to no money or food. Part of Petey's tail was also cut off and was wrapped in bandages. Despite this being the hardest time of Petey's life, even having to go through it with a dimwitted roommate, his mother never gave up hope and always forgave Petey whenever he did anything wrong. She also taught him that love is eternal and frequently played her ukulele for Petey, making Petey happier and allowing his tail to heal.
During his teenage years, Petey's mother would fall ill and die. Petey was heartbroken at this and lived all by himself.

~ Petey now having turned evil. |
At some point he was acquired by Dr. Dilbert Dinkle.
Dr. Dinkle and Petey the Cat snuck into Jim's Bank, taking a machine that transforms things into water. But then, Petey unintentionally transformed Dr. Dinkle into water, and accidentally destroyed the machine, leaving Dr. Dinkle unable to revert to a human. But, now being made of water, Dr. Dinkle was able to sneak into the vault and steal the money he wanted. Then, Dr. Dinkle returned home and went off to rob more banks, of course not paying the water bill since he was made of water, leaving Petey thirsty. Dr. Dinkle refused to pay the water bill when Petey told him he needed water, so Petey drank him. Then Dr. Dinkle woke up in Petey's litter box, having been turned into pee. Petey began calling Dr. Dinkle "Rip Van Tinkle", much to Dinkle's dismay.
Dr. Dinkle couldn't enjoy his money since everyone kicked him out of their stores for his smell, so in revenge, he made a plan to steal everyone's toilets. So the following night, Rip Van Tinkle put Petey in the Robo Kitty 3000, before he evaporated into a cloud and rained pee. Then the pee drops broke into people's houses to steal toilets for the Petey to destroy with the Robo-Kitty 3000. All toilets were destroyed, including Super Diaper Baby's.
Then the drops meshed together to reunite Rip Van Tinkle's body, while Petey stole diapers to sell to the people who got their toilets stolen. Then, when Rip Van Tinkle tried to take Petey's money, Petey soaked him up with toilet paper. Super Diaper Baby and Diaper Dog attempted to end the chaos, only for Petey to evolve the Robo Kitty 300 into the Supa-Mecha Kitty 3000. Super Diaper Baby flew away to buy catnip and pour it inside the robot's control seat. Then Petey goes crazy after a slight sniff of the catnip, detaching the Supa - Mecha Kitty 3000's head. Shortly after his plan was foiled, Petey was sentenced to jail.

~ Petey telling why his full-time criminal career began. |
He would serve his time there and focus on doing good during his time in jail. After he was released, Petey wanted to rent a house and get a job but everyone rejected him due to his former criminal status. Due to this, Petey was forced to continue his evil ways as everyone only saw him as a ruthless scoundrel. Thus, Petey's full-time criminal career began.
The Adventures of Dog Man[]

~ Petey after watching Dog Man be afraid of vacuums. |
At this moment in his life, Petey had turned into a world-known criminal mastermind, even collecting the title 'The World's Most Evilest Cat'.
When he is first introduced in The Adventures of Dog Man, he is seen spying on the titular character and finds out that he has a phobia of vacuums. Learing this, he spends the following night making a mechanical vacuum robot that he unleashed the next morning.
That morning, the vacuum robot went on a crime spree robbing every bank in town by sucking up all of the money from each bank. Eventually, the police force found out about the robbed banks, yet didn't known who robbed them, and sent in Dog Man to stop the 'crook'.
After finding out that the crook was a vacuum robot, Dog Man fled for his life, unbeknownst to the vacuum close on his tail. Soon enough, Dog Man was cornered at a dead end, to which the vacuum took the chance it had and sprung at him, only for its charging cord to fall out of the charging table. Now with the vacuum out of power, Dog Man stops being afraid and beats the robot up to its demise.
Now having stopped the vacuum, Dog Man follows its charging cord up to Petey's secret hideout, where he is greeted by the latter. Upon defeat, Petey exclaims that he knew he should've made the cord longer, before getting sent back to prison.
In another telling of this story, Petey is first seen on top of his lab with his henchman/assistant spying on Officer Knight and his dog, Greg. His assistant is worried about the duo, but Petey brushes it off. He explains that while Officer Knight is physically strong, he is dimwitted. He also explains that while Greg is highly intelligent, his body is weak. Petey's assistant brings up that the due could work together, which concerns Petey.
Petey goes out and sets up a bomb, and calls for help pretending to be an innocent bystander. When Greg and Knight come to defuse the bomb, Knight cuts the wrong wire and the bomb detonates. The duo are rushed to the hospital, where it is revealed that Greg's body is dying, while Knight's head is dying. A nurse comes up with the idea to sew Greg's head on Knight's body. The operation is a success and Dog Man is born.
Surprised that he accidentally created a superhero, he comes up with a plan to kill Dog Man. Petey makes a mechanical vacuum which chases Dog Man through the entire town. Dog Man leads the vacuum to the beach. Dog Man enters the water and Petey follows. The vacuum opens up and swallows Dog Man, but also swallowed a ton of water. Petey jumps on the inflated sack to try and get out of the water, but slips and uses his claws to stop his fall, which tears open the vacuum, freeing Dog Man who saves Petey from drowning. Grateful, Petey thanks Dog Man for saving him, but is arrested shortly after.

~ Petey taking off his clown disguise. |
Sometime afterward, Petey is seen on live news that announce that he had escaped prison, fearing the Hoskins family, family of Super Diaper Baby and Diaper Dog.
Later, Petey, disguised as a clown, goes to many people's residents, including the Hoskins' house, saying that he was creating a parade. Due to the clown costume, every citizen agreed to go in.
Once the seemingly harmless parade starts, Petey reveals himself and SDB and DD's parade float they were in was a giant robot baby that destroyed the town seizing SDB and DD while Petey forced everyone to give him their wallets and cash, to which they all reluctantly comply.
Out of luck, the chief of police, who was there watching with Dog Man, states there is nothing to do. However, Dog Man collected an idea and came on top of the giant robot baby's diaper and scratches himself to the point he scratches off fleas, which go into the robot baby's diaper.
As the giant robot baby keeps scratching itself in defeat, Petey was handcuffed by the police and was sent to prison after the robot baby ran away from the fleas.
However, just before getting put into the prison, Petey pressed a button on his wrist and laughed evilly as SDB, DD, Dog Man, and Chief scream in shock at something coming.
In a cancelled Super Diaper Baby 3, it can be implied that SDB, DD, Dog Man, and Chief fight whatever shocked them along with Petey, they win, and Petey would be arrested once again.
Dog Man[]
In prison, the mayor sends Petey some invisible spray, which Petey uses. He then tricks the guard into opening the door, claiming that he escaped. In the aftermath of his escape, the mayor fires Chief for the incident and replaces him with a robotic cop.
Petey goes through town and notices that the mayor set up stores setting up contraband. Frustrated that someone was muscling in 'his' territory, he uses his invisible appearance to pass as a ghost and scare every customer away from the stores. The mayor sends the robotic cop to kill Petey, but the latter uses the robot's missiles to destroy every store, and eventually, the robotic cop itself.
Out of options, the mayor sends in Dog Man to arrest Petey. Dog Man uses his nose to track Petey down. He then jumps in a kiddie pool, and shakes all of the water off which hits Petey and washes off the invisible spray. Petey desperately tries to think of an excuse, but is arrested.
In his cell, Petey wonders how Dog Man became so smart, and decides to spy on Dog Man to find out. He gets on a seesaw has another inmate jump on the other end which catapults him over the jail wall. Petey then spies on Dog Man and sees Dog Man reading. Petey correctly assumes that reading makes Dog Man smart, and decides to destroy all books.
Back in his lab, he makes an invention that makes any text vanish. He uses his invention on the entire world until the only books left are in his lab. As his intelligence increases, everyone else's decreases.
Petey then effortlessly steals a car, robs a bank, then steals a television set. However, problems soon emerged. Everyone, including his assistant, was so stupid, that they could not follow the simplest tasks, and Petey had to do everything himself. Petey soon became very depressed. He had not bathed in weeks, and his nails grew super long, and his lab was a mess.
Dog Man soon smelled Petey's odor and investigated. He found Petey's library and started reading. As he read, he became smarter and smarter. He brought Petey's books to the schools to restore everyone else's intelligence. He then arrested Petey who followed him. He then took Petey's invention, reversed it, and used it on the whole world, undoing all the damage Petey had caused.
Back in jail, Petey received another package. A group of mad scientists had sent him living spray, which would turn inanimate objects to life. He used it on a hot dog, who then stole the jail keys and handed them to Petey, who used them to unlock his cell. The hot dog wanted to be Petey's friend, who in turn, rejected the hot dog. Petey, however, left the can of living spray behind, which the hot dog took.
Petey built a dog cage with a spiked ceiling, and used a dog caller to lure every dog in town to him, including Dog Man.
Meanwhile, the hot dog found the jail's kitchen and used the spray turning every hot dog to life. The hot dog army then sent out to wreck havoc, but nobody was scared of them.
Meanwhile, Petey pressed a button on his remote controller, which caused the spiked ceiling in the cage to lower.
Meanwhile, the hot dogs continued to try and wreck havoc, but nobody took them seriously. Their leader then used it on a statue for Philly's Steak. The statue came to life, and the hot dog leader mounted it.
Meanwhile, the spiked ceiling in the dog cage was getting dangerously close to Dog Man and the other dogs, when the hot dogs came. As the hot dog leader started threatening the towns people, Dog Man threw bones at Philly and caused the hot dog leader to order Philly to destroy the cage, in turn, freeing the dogs.
Philly picked Dog Man up, and held him to the hot dog leader. However, Dog Man simply ate the leader, which enraged Philly. The living spray can the hot dog leader was holding dropped to the ground and rolled into a nearby fire, which caused the can to explode. The explosion destroyed Philly, catapulted Dog Man back to the police station, and Petey to his jail cell. Ironically, the chef served Petey a hot dog for lunch.
Dog Man Unleashed[]
“ | Hmmm, somebody is impostering me! | „ |
~ Petey finding out he is impostered. |
While in jail, Petey comes up with a plan to escape. He draws himself on a piece of paper and puts it under a bulletin board. He then drops the board on it and screams in 'terror' for the guard's help. Seeing that 'Petey' is now flat (a parody of 'Flat Stanley'), the guard dials 9-1-1 while Petey slips away.
Later on, Petey finds out that a villain that dons a purple robe, paper bag, and has orange feet and they believe it is Petey. He finds out that his imposter has an obsession with treasure chests, which motivates him to build a giant, mobile treasure chest to try and capture his imposter.
As Petey rides through town, he zaps the towns people with a love ray, which makes everyone fall in love with him and give him their valuables.
Dog Man witnesses this, and ties a string to a bone and throws it like a grappling hook. It grapples onto a radar, which Dog Man uses to swing onto Petey's vehicle. Petey shoots his ray at Dog Man and misses. He finds Dog Man biting his control stick, mistaking it for a ball. As Dog Man continues to shake the control stick violently, the vehicle moves with the stick and Petey falls off. Unharmed, Petey stands up, only to find everybody still in love with him. He runs from the towns people, all the way back to his jail cell.
Dog Man and the League of Misfits[]
Sometime later, Petey finds himself in a talk show hosted by Sarah Hatoff. In his interview, Sarah asks him why he is so evil, to which Petey states he wasn't that evil, to which viewers disagree by saying he put glue in a male viewer's socks, a skunk in an old female's purse, and lobsters on a few male viewers' fanny packs.
However, Sarah reassures the audience by saying that the entire place was guarded by Dog Man, which relaxes the audience. While it relaxes them, one viewer says that Petey is still planning something evil. Due to this, Petey shows them a video he made about how he was convicted of stealing an apple and was sent to prison by Captain Underpants, yet on the way he dropped the apple on Super Diaper Baby and Dog Man's heads accidentally.
However, while everyone was watching, Petey crept away, stole Dog Man's rope, tied up Sarah, her pet poodle Zuzu, and Dog Man, tied up the audience, and escaped the show.
Now at his lab, Petey reveals his most diabolical invention: Timmy the Talking Toilet. He explains that even though Timmy is very cute, he is truly pure evil, and he demonstrates by turning him on and sending him outside, with him following. However, when he gets outside, he is greeted by Sarah and Dog Man. Petey asks how they got there, to which they respond by saying they used their brains, noses, years of experience, and how he had a hige, flashing sign on his lab.
Sarah then asks what Petey was up to, to which he shows Timmy, who ended up starting to trend only seconds on being online. Petey reveals that Timmy would be the key to total world domination.
It's unknown what happened afterward, but it can be implied that Timmy ends up turning evil, gets destroyed, and Petey is arrested again.
Dog Man: A Tale of Two Kitties[]
In jail, a fat cat named Big Jim is handing out birthday balloons to everyone, when Petey gets an idea. He takes Jim's balloons which are enough to lift Petey off the ground and over the jail wall and onto the roof of his lab, marking another escape. Since Petey fired his old henchman due to the stupidity incident, he decides to clone himself, taking one of his whiskers, but only making an infant clone. The clone calls Petey his papa but Petey refuses to go by that title.
Later on, Petey trips over his clone while holding a box of important test tubes, causing them all to break. Enraged, Petey takes his clone to a high chair to feed him, but his clone accidentally flicks his spoon back at him.
Even later on, Petey is reading the newspaper, and his clone makes him a book. Petey requests for tea instead, which the clone makes. However, the clone used a fly swatter instead of a strainer which caused Petey to snap.
Petey puts his clone in a box that says "Free Kitty" and unsuccessfully tries to give him away. His clone disappears to use the bathroom, and Petey runs off. His clone pushes the "Free Kitty" box around until they reach the police station.
Meanwhile, as Petey is working on his new machine, he starts to regret leaving his clone behind, and goes out looking for him, calling out, "Li'L Petey!". After he fails, he returns to his lab and finds the book his clone wrote for him. After reading it, Petey very clearly starts regretting his action.
As Dog Man signs off for the night, he finds Li'L Petey and his crate, and goes around trying to give Li'L Petey away, but everyone raises some red flag, and so Dog Man takes Li'L Petey under his wing.
Petey completes his invention and has it scan the book and locate Li'L Petey. After his invention leads him to Dog Man's house, it reaches in and grabs Li'L Petey. Elated, Petey takes his clone home.
Back at the lab, Li'L Petey wakes up and quickly starts annoying Petey again. He mimics Dog Man's barking at the would-be owners of Li'L Petey. Petey crafts a puppet of Dog Man, and starts making his puppet say insulting things about Dog Man, which ends up cracking Li'L Petey up. Taking another approach, Petey makes a puppet of himself, and makes said puppet speak highly of Petey, which does not get a reaction out of Li'L Petey.
The next morning, Petey shows his invention to his clone, calling it an 80-Hexotron Droidformigon (80HD for short). He programs 80HD to follow Li'L Petey's command. Hoping for Li'L Petey to become abusive of the power, Petey orders his clone to make 80HD do anything Li'L Petey wants, but he only makes 80HD play jump rope, patty cake, and dance.
Later on, while Li'L Petey and 80HD are drawing, Petey puts his clone inside the robot, and Petey once again tells Li'L Petey to do anything he wants. All of his actions, however, only end up accidentally injuring Petey. The two suddenly hear a noise, and see an army of buildings wrecking havoc. 80HD suddenly opens up and gives Li'L Petey a pair of binoculars, who sees Dog Man driving a leaking salad dressing truck, causing the buildings to slip on the spillage. Seeing that Dog Man is in trouble, Li'L Petey goes after Dog Man, while Petey goes after his clone.
Just as Dog Man was about to be eaten by a building, Li'L Petey saves Dog Man. Li'L Petey then destroys every other building with ease, only to be stopped by Flippy, a mechanically modified fish, who uses his telekinesis to throw Li'l Petey across the town. Li'L Petey is unharmed, but 80HD is broken. When Dog Man, Chief, and the others arrive, Petey hands his clone over to them and steps inside the broken robot, pretending to be Li'L Petey.
Flippy lifts Petey over a volcano, but Li'L Petey suddenly arrives and talks sense into Flippy. Flippy reveals that he was bullied in his youth, which snapped him into villainy. Li'L Petey hands a homemade book to Flippy. Moved, Flippy's cold heart melts as his powers start waning.
Without his powers, Petey is released from his telekinesis and toward the volcano. Dog Man swoops toward Petey using a hang glider and picks him up while 80HD falls to the side of the volcano. Dog Man handcuffs Petey.
Although Petey did not commit any additional crimes, he still escaped from jail, and Chief prepares to take Petey back into custody. Petey initially tells his clone to be evil, but tells him to be himself instead.
As Petey and Chief walk toward the jail, Petey starts contemplating redemption, to which Chief agrees. After Petey makes a speech about being good, Chief says he is proud of Petey and the two hug. However, during the hug, Petey secretly unlocks his handcuff and reattaches it to a pole. Petey sarcastically says goodbye to Chief, before Chief realizes that Petey cuffed him to a pole. As Chief shouts in anger, Petey cackles and runs off.
Dog Man and Cat Kid[]
During the time that Petey had ran away from Chief and resisted arrest from the previous book, he had collected a babysitter costume and was currently going to the house of his arch-nemesis to act as a babysitter for Li'L Petey.
When the disguised Petey had come to the residence of Dog Man, he caught the attention of his arch-nemesis and clone. Petey introduced himself as Mrs. Suspicionflame, world's greatest babysitter. He gives Dog Man his fake card and list of references, and tells him that he could easily start babysitting a cat.
Hearing this, Dog Man immediately grabs Petey, puts him with Li'L Petey, and licks him from head to toe, annoying him verily. Then, he kisses Li'L Petey and leaves for work at the police station.
Petey then greets himself to Li'L Petey. However, his clone is not fooled easily and tells the disguised Petey that he is his father. This angers Petey, who refuses to take that title. He says he could sing songs about how fun it is to clean rooms and other things. Angrily, Li'L Petey asks him to prove it. So, Petey starts singing. However, it ends up being about the possible side effects of medicine. Annoyed, Li'L Petey drops the act by taking off his creator's wig, and gets back to work on repairing 80HD using the spare parts he collected of his.
Petey, intrigued by his clone working, asks what he is doing. Li'L Petey responds by saying that he was rebuilding 80HD. Then, Petey finds a solar panel inside the exoskeleton of 80HD, and asks Li'L Petey about it. Petey then compliments his clone on the fact someone would not be able to find the panels. Then, Petey looks through the exoskeleton again, and finds out the missiles he originally put in when he created 80HD had been removed. Angrily, Petey asks Li'L Petey why. His clone explains that 80HD is his friend and doesn't need missiles.
Angrily, Petey tells his mistaken clone that 80HD was not his friend. Li'L Petey then proves it by telling the upper half of 80HD to flip itself over, which it complies.
Petey tells his clone that 80HD was just obeying Li'L Petey, as he was doing what he was programmed to do. Li'L Petey explains that 80HD is still his friend. Petey then loses it after his clone responds to his asking how 80HD would get power at night that he would sleep like him, and tells his clone that the two of them needed to talk.
After a bit of complaining, Li'L Petey agrees after hearing he would collect ice cream during the talk.
As they leave, the newly rebuilt 80HD follows them, annoying Petey. Asking why he is coming, Li'L Petey states he would be going with them. However, Petey did not want the company, so he forces Li'L Petey to make 80HD stay there or he wouldn't get ice cream. Hearing this, Li'L Petey reluctantly complies.
After ten minutes, Li'L Petey had collected the ice cream his creator promised him and was ready to talk with the latter. Petey states that he felt sorry for tricking Li'L Petey with a babysitter costume. Li'L Petey tells him that he was never fooled by the cheap costume. Afterwards, Petey manipulates his clone to have him live in the residence of Dog Man. Afterwards, he would start his clone's villainous training. Li'L Petey tells his creator that he doesn't want to be evil and wants to be like Dog Man in not doing any crimes.
However, Petey says that he had promised to help an escaped convict, which was a crime called harboring a fugitive.
Then, Petey shows the drippings of his ice cream on the sidewalk and made his clone feel responsible for it by saying he had littered.
While saying this, Li'L Petey tries to cross the road, but ends up accidentally jaywalking, which Petey comments on.
The two then near a trash can with the sign that said that people shouldn't litter. Petey tells Li'L Petey to not throw away his empty ice cream cone and instead throw it one the sidewalk, as it was his destiny. Li'L Petey then reluctantly complies. Petey, happy that his clone was doing crimes, albeit reluctantly, hugs him, unbeknownst to Li'L Petey's face of guilt.
As the two are walking back to the house of Dog Man, Petey and his clone walk by the Gassy Behemoth Studios, where they are introduced to the famous news reporter from Australia named Sarah Hatoff and her pet poodle Zuzu. Sarah tells the two about the upcoming Dog Man movie that had just started production. Petey, surprised, says that the movie idea was the worst idea he had ever heard of. Then, Zuzu sniffs the fake babysitter and finds out that it is Petey. So, she growls and barks at him, which Sarah tells her to be nice, which Petey agrees to.
Just then, a limousine filled with the movie stars drives into view. The first person that comes out of the rich limousine is international action hero Ding-Dong Magoo, who would be playing the titular hero. Petey, mad about the choice of acting, says that Dog Man never had muscles. This makes Zuzu growl again silently.
Next out of the limousine comes famous Italian actress Yolay Caprese, who would be playing Sarah Hatoff. Sarah is then a bit annoyed at the choice of acting, since Yolay was Italian and she was Australian.
Out of the limousine next was actor Samson J. Johnson, who would be playing Chief. He angrily states that he was relieved that he was out of the 'dog-gone' limo.
Finally, comic supserstar Scooter McRibs comes out of the limousine, who would be playing none other than Petey himself. Angry at the choice of acting, Petey almost reveals himself by saying Scooter didn't look like himself, before quickly rephrasing himself by saying that Scooter didn't look like Petey. Again, Zuzu growls.
The four of them then follow Scooter inside the studio, where they are greeted by a worker setting up the powered off Mecha-Weenies on the realistic acting floor.
The worker then stops setting up the Mecha-Weenies and shows the four the powered off Supa-Mecha Philly. He explains how all of the robots were controlled by a remote control that he guarded with his life. However, he immediately sets it down for his lunch break. Petey then points at nothing at tells Sarah to watch out to distract her as he stole the remote.
Then, Petey takes his clone and himself to the door of the room of all of the costumes for the actors. Trying to open the door, Petey finds out it's locked. So, Petey manipulates his clone to go through the just big enough pet flap and unlock the door through the other side.
Inside, Petey starts taking off his poor disguise amd starts putting on a disguise similar to that of a knight's while saying complicated words. Then, he puts Li'L Petey on a costume.
Later, Petey overhears Sam E. Hamilton, the director for the movie, fire Dog Man and exclaim that the movie would be shut down if one more bad thing happened.
Petey later finds a lasso and ties it up, creating a lasso circle that if stepped inside, the person would be sent upwards and be kidnapped. Petey plans to use it on Yolay Caprese to shut down the movie.
Obviously, Yolay had stepped into the circle and made herself kidnapped. Petey then explains to Li'L Petey that he was doing this because the world was rotten, unfair, and horrible, and the only way to retaliate was to be more rotten, more unfair, and more horrible.
Then, Petey tries to manipulate Li'L Petey into cutting the ropes that was hanging Yolay, presumably killing her. However, Li'L Petey disagrees and leaves, only finding out that Dog Man had not figured out how to control the Dogmobile he took, and the propeller inside it was cutting the rope holding Yolay. Thankfully, Dog Man catches Yolay and the two then start crashing through the walls.
Later, the movie stars, angry about the many disasters, quits and slams the door shut. Petey then overhears how Sam would be ruined now that the movie was shut down. So, Petey uses his stollen remote to turn on the Mecha-Weenies and have them evil. They then start causing chaos by destroying a wall in the corner of the studio.
However, after the leader of the Mecha-Weenies was severely injured into stupidity by Sarah Hatoff, Petey took off his supervillain outfit in anger and notices the turned off Supa-Mecha Philly. The only thing he needed was to make it bigger. Then, he collected the brilliant idea to go to the nearby Cannery Grow, a spray can that enlarges anything sprayed with it, factory and collect one.
There, he is met with a stupid cashier named Dippy who annoys him verily for not being able to do her job. Annoyed, Petey simply just steals a can of Cannery Grow. Dippy then decides to call 9-1-1, however cannot find out what the number is.
Petey then goes back into the almost completely destroyed studio and sprays Supa-Mecha Philly with his stollen Cannery Grow. This causes Supa-Mecha Philly to destroy the studio in its entirety. Then, Petey turns him on and makes him evil.
Then, the newly grown Supa-Mecha Philly takes Petey onto his shoulder and the two create chaos destroying buildings. So, Dog Man and his friends tey to stop him. However, all (except for Li'L Petey) are captured by Supa-Mecha Philly. Li'L Petey then goes to the residence of Dog Man once more to collect 80HD, who had been waiting there the whole time.
However, on the way to stop Petey, Li'L Petey stops his tracks to reprogram 80HD to be able to do whatever he wants and not be forced to obey him.
However, when Li'L Petey comes back to the winning Petey, he realizes that 80HD had run out of power. Petey explains evily that 80HD's atomic batteries had been replaced with solar panels and that 80HD couldn't charge all day because it had been cloudy, and it was currently the night.
To 'cheer Li'L Petey up', Petey has Supa-Mecha Philly kick 80HD into space. This makes Li'L Petey cry for a full long hour. During this time, 80HD had been kicked all the way to Japan, where it was very sunny. This caused the run out powered 80HD to get full power, so he flew all the way back to the city where this all took place, and using the momentum he collected from flying that fast, he had flew through Supa-Mecha Philly and deatroyed him, ruining Petey's plans once again.
Now with nothing to do anymore, Petey is rightfully arrested by Chief. However, while Chief explains the rights that Petey has, the latter tells his clone that he would grab lunch for the both of them after escaping the next day. Then, Chief and Petey leave to go to Cat Jail.
Dog Man: Lord of the Fleas[]
The next day, Petey had been hard at work on a new giant robot resembling him. However, the jail guard suspiciously came into the jail cell of the world's evilest cat. The dimwitted warden asked what Petey was doing, seeing the robot. However, since Petey said he wasn't building a robot, the warden believes him. Then, he tells Petey that he had an appointment with a psychiatrist, annoying Petey, despite the fact he knows that he has to, seeing as the judge said it was so.
The guard brings him to a gray cat named Dr. Katz. Once the therapist session began, Dr. Katz found out that Petey had been locked up seven times, and had escaped six times. Wondering why, Dr. Katz asks Petey how come he is so evil.
So, Petey tells him about the Critter Scouts incident, how he played a game with his fellow scouts, how he had been caught by the scout leader, and how he was betrayed by his friends, forcing him to cancel the scouts.
When Dr. Katz realizes that Petey didn't care about his fellow scouts afterward, he took off his mask and revealed himself to be Petey's childhood friend Piggy. While taking off his therapist costume, he reveals how he would destroy his beloved clone with a Robo-Brontosaurus and soon take over the world. Then, Piggy starts uncontrollably laughing, which Petey uses to his advantage by stealing the forgotten costume and putting it on. Then, he informs the guard that 'an evil pig had broke into the building and swallowed Petey'. So, the guard immediately tries to free 'Petey' from the insides of Piggy. Then, the real Petey calls for Piggy's dimwitted henchmen, Crunky and Bub, to help the guard. Then, Petey slammed the psychiatry center's door close, locked it, and escaped presuming the role of Dr. Katz.
Petey immediately went to his arch-nemesis' house once again to pick up Li'L Petey, telling Dog Man and 80HD that he had been in need of classes, disappointing the latter two.
Walking away from the house, Li'L Petey reveals the disguised Petey had been his creator. In anger, Petey took off his professor/psychiatrist costume. Afterwards, Li'L Petey asks where the school he would be going to was. However, Petey explained that the both of them were getting out of town. Li'L Petey asks why they are doing so, which Petey refuses to respond to. Li'L Petey asks again, and in anger, Petey gives up and explains the whole story of learning that the psychiatrist was actually Piggy and he had escaped using Piggy's forgotten costume. However, while explaining this, he is interrupted by Li'L Petey many times, angering him.
Li'L Petey, now understanding, asks why they are leaving if the criminals were stuck in prison. Petey explains that something dumb may happen, resulting in Piggy, Crunky, and Bub escaping.
Meanwhile in Cat Jail, Chief and a cop named Milly had knocked out the three devious animals after hearing about Petey's escape. After Sarah Hatoff did a news story about it, Chief wonders where Dog Man was, considering that he had asked him to come with them. Dog Man, hearing Chief's call to come, rushes to Cat Jail and jumps on Chief with joy of seeing him, distracting Sarah and Milly. The devious animals then use this distraction to escape the heroes going into their parked Robo-Brontosaurus and escaping. Little did they know, Chief, Milly, and Sarah came after Chief disciplined Dog Man.
Meanwhile, Li'L Petey had been annoying Petey verily with knock-knock jokes about a random thing he saw pooping on the head of Petey. However, when Petey hears about the Robo-Brontosaurus following them through a knock-knock joke by Li'L Petey, he runs at a speedier rate.
While on the Robo-Brontosaurus, Sarah comes to the villains and has an interview with them, revealing the three to be a club called The F.L.E.A.S. While the three argue that the name of the team should be changed, Chief and Milly finally came to the villains and injured them severely. However, the police duo and Sarah were all captured by the Robo-Brontosaurus' tail.
At that moment, Petey and his clone had reached a dead end at a brick wall. When the Robo-Brontosaurus tried to stomp on them, they narrowly escaped through a nearby sewer opening.
While going through the sewers, Li'L Petey says a knock-knock joke about a ladder pooping on the head of Petey. However, Petey had had enough of the poorly structured knock-knock jokes created by his clone and decides to explain that saying or doing the same thing over and over again would make it annoying.
During this time, the two had escaped the sewers into Cat Jail, where Petey collected his giant resembling robot and pushed the ceiling open to take the robot out before putting it back.
While the two are leaving in the giant robot, Li'L Petey convinces Petey to not be the bad guy everyone expected him to be and save his clone's friends by shrinking the F.L.E.A.S with a shrink ray he conveniently had. However, Li'L Petey was forced to stop calling his creator his father and by his real name, which he reluctantly agrees to.
So, the robot is turned back behind the F.L.E.A.S, where Petey sweats under the pressure of finding the right angle to shrink the villains without shrinking his clone's friends. However, he is caught in surprise from Li'L Petey, dropping his shrink ray onto the head of Piggy, making the F.L.E.A.S find where Petey and his son were.
Piggy then finally starts getting revenge by using the Robo-Brontosaurus' death laser inside its mouth to destroy Petey's robot, despite the fact it only destroyed the exterior of it and never destroyed the actual exoskeleton. While Petey and his clone narrowly escape from the laser multiple times, Li'L Petey starts uncontrollably laughing at a poor knock-knock joke he made about a cloud pooping on Petey's nose, instead of the head, and falls off the top of the robot. Petey, afraid for his life, closes his eyes while he jumps off to save his clone.
However, Dog Man and 80HD come out of nowhere and catch Li'L Petey and his creator. However, the two cared more for Li'L Petey and 80HD throws Petey away.
However, Petey seems to brush it off and starts watching what his clone and his saviors were doing, being annoyed that they were only doing superhero poses right in front of the villains. Petey then tells them what they were doing, Li'L Petey says they knew and even waves at the F.L.E.A.S, to which Crunky and Bub save back. Piggy is annoyed by his henchmen and say that they were there enemies, and that any of their enemies would be annihilated.
Piggy then asks what Li'L Petey would say to that, so the latter creates a knock-knock joke about an airplane that pooped on Piggy's eyebrow. This makes everyone except Petey and Piggy fall in hysteria.
Piggy then tells a 'funny story' about the F.L.E.A.S creating the Robo-Brontosaurus, which had a killer death ray, even proving it by using it on a nearby building. While the building collapsed, it collapsed on top of the Robo-Brontosaurus.
Li'L Petey then uses this chance to use the retractable steel claws he was wearing to cut off Chief, Milly, and Sarah's shirt collars and have Dog Man use the Dogmobile they were allowed to have from the previous book to save the falling trio plus Li'L Petey.
After Chief, Milly, and Sarah fall on top of giant marshmallows, the F.L.E.A.S return to destroy the city. However, when Piggy used the Robo-Brontosaurus' death ray, Petey yanks the robot from the tail out of the way, creating a giant robot battle that lasted for hours.
At one point, Piggy stops the battle by coming inside the cockpit of Petey's giant robot and trying to manipulate Petey into working for him, until he mentions Li'L Petey in a bad manner, making Petey remember what his clone told him.
Hearing Piggy rant about how bad the goodness Li'L Petey had, Petey tells Piggy to stop talking about his son that way, surprising the both of them that Petey was officially taking the title of father.
Piggy then gave up trying to convince Petey to join him and decides to destroy the tail of the Robo-Brontosaurus Petey's giant robot was holding, causing him to fly away, destroying a building.
Surprisingly, Dog Man and his friends help save Petey from the building. However, when he is taken out of the building, he finds out that Li'L Petey had been kidnapped by Piggy.
This angers Dog Man, making him run to the F.L.E.A.S. However, the Robo-Brontosaurus grabbed him by the cape he was wearing and catapulted him into the Cannery Grow factory.
This causes every can of Cannery Grow inside to spray all over Dog Man, causing him to grow large enough to destroy the building.
Out of options, Li'L Petey and 80HD go to a nearby giant spray paint can store and buy a giant can of brown spray paint, and comes back spray painting the Robo-Brontosaurus into a look-a-like squirrel.
Hearing about a 'giant squirrel', Dog Man wakes up and starts chewing the Robo-Brontosaurus.
That's when Petey and the others come. Petey shows concern as to where Li'L Petey was, as he was hiding inside 80HD. Petey then knocks on 80HD twice, making the sound of someone saying knock-knock. Because of this, Li'L Petey opens up 80HD and asks who was there. Happy that his son was alive, Petey explains that 'papa' was there before hugging him. Then, Dog Man licked the two.
Once they dried up, Petey finds the forgotten shrink ray he had earlier in the book and uses it to shrink Dog Man to normal, along with the Robo-Brontosaurus and the F.L.E.A.S inside it. When Chief asks for the shrunken villains, Dog Man doesn't let go of the Robo-Brontosaurus, creating a tug-of-war game with Chief succeding in getting the Robo-Brontosaurus. However, he realizes the villains were not inside, and wonders with everyone else where they could be, despite Dog Man's itching, revealing them to be hiding inside Dog Man's fur.
Then, Chief decides to handcuff Petey and send him back to Cat Jail. Despite the fact he did nothing wrong basically the whole book, he still had to serve the time he originally had, angering Petey. Hearing this, Li'L Petey decides to walk with them.
Li'L Petey talks with his father about the fact that the world might not be fair for everyone, he still had to stay positive.
The three then finally get to Cat Jail, where they are greeted by the guard, who hugs Petey. He secretly tells his son that he would buy them some ice cream after he escaped the next day before going back inside Cat Jail.
Dog Man: Brawl of the Wild[]
The next day after the previous book, Petey had challenged himself to see how long he could act good instead of evil, like he had originally done.
After sixteen minutes, the prisoner Big Jim came and asked what Petey was doing. After being asked twice, Petey reluctantly showed Jim that he was trying to be good and he had been good for sixteen minutes in a row. Jim is happy for the redeeming Petey and hugs him, angering the latter.
Jim then asks Petey if he wanted to hear about the dream he had the previous night. Even when Petey responds with "no", he still tells his dream anyway. It was about how he was eating a giant marshmallow, however he woke up with no pillow, revealing he ate his pillow, despite the fact he didn't realize. After telling the story, he immediately then sneezed out feathers from the pillow he unconsciously ate on Petey, angering the latter to force Jim out of the cell by yelling.
Before Jim left crying, he tells Petey he thought he was trying to be nice, which Petey responds to by saying he wanted to be good, not nice, not knowing the fact that being nice contributes into being a good person.
When Petey realizes it, he ultimately gives up being good and sends his son a text message, feeling remorse to what he had just done to Jim.
Meanwhile at Dog Man's house, Li'L Petey and 80HD collect Petey's message from a new computer they made and rush to Cat Jail to comfort Petey.
The jail guard informs Petey about while the latter was busy inventing a giant robotic bumblebee, which he claims not to be doing so to not get caught.
Petey explains to his visiting son that he tried very hard to be a good person, but no matter what, he wouldn't be able to change. Li'L Petey tells his father that he shouldn't give up so easily, to which Petey responds to by saying that Li'L Petey was a good person, and he was a bad person and there wasn't a reason to change. Mad about his father's discouragement to himself, Li'L Petey says it was pointless to give up.
Petey then stops the conversation by standing up and leaving, telling 80HD to take his son home. Reluctantly, 80HD complies, and the two walk home sadly.
The next day, Petey was still trying to figure out which side to choose from, the good side or the dark side. He is interrupted by his son visiting again. While Petey comes to hug his son, the latter asks if the bumblebee inside would be rideable. Petey explains that for some reason, the bumblebee wasn't working.
Li'L Petey asks why was that the case, to which he explains that he didn't know and shows him the 'flawless' blueprints. However, Li'L Petey is easily able to find a few mistakes, angering Petey to make adjustments, with his son exclaiming he would help.
Petey asks why his son was helping him, since he was the bad guy, to which Li'L Petey disagrees and says that he was not. Petey says he was, and a brief argument is created with Petey saying he was the bad guy, despite his son saying otherwise. Li'L Petey breaks the argument with a joke for Petey about diarrhea, angering Petey.
The rest of the day goes by similarly, with Petey mad about the jokes about diarrhea created by his son.
After a long afternoon, the father and son finish complete the robotic bumblebee. Once they were finished, a news report on a nearby television shows Sarah showing concern about a burning movie theater damaged by Claymation Philly, a character in the newly finished Dog Man movie that was on the screen when the escaped F.L.E.A.S sprayed it with Living Spray.
Using the bumblebee, Petey and his son escape to stop Claymation Philly, where they are shown by the terrifying fact that Chief had been kidnapped by him. Petey uses the laser at the bumblebee's stinger to evaporate a leg of Claymation Philly, making him drop Chief, who is saved by Dog Man.
Claymation Philly then starts falling off the top of the theater, where Petey and his son are taken by the falling movie character.
While saving people from the theater, 80HD hears a call from Li'L Petey to save them, so he flies up there and uses scissors to cut off the hand capturing the two.
He catches the hand, flies it to the top of the theater, takes Petey and his son out, and kicks the abandoned hand off, hitting the head of Claymation Philly.
The celebrating and cheer of everyone on the top of the theater is interrupted by Sarah and Yolay Caprese, who inform them that Claymation Philly was trying to push the theater down while there were still people in the flaming building.
While Petey, Chief, Yolay, Sarah, and 80HD save people from the theater, Dog Man and Li'L Petey stop Claymation Philly by chasing him into a cave, where Dog Man eats him up whole.
When 80HD and Li'L Petey hear about this, they fly to the theater for Dog Man to throw up across the whole theater, extinguishing the flames as the last person is saved from the theater.
Once they get back to the ground, everyone walks with Petey back to Cat Jail, where they cheer up Dog Man from him being called a misfit by saying that everyone felt like a misfit and that Dog Man fit in perfectly.
At Cat Jail, they are greeted by the jail guard again, who hugs Petey again. Before the redeemed criminal comes back inside Cat Jail, his son asks his father if he was a misfit, to which Petey happily says he was. Since being a misfit was perfectly fine, Li'L Petey was happy, and the two hug again.
Dog Man: For Whom the Ball Rolls[]
The next morning, Petey is rudely awaken by Jim, who woke him up due to the fact he was supposedly on TV. Jim then grabs Petey without warning to a nearby television screen where three other cats are watching the news story about the previous night's chaotic ending.
Regaining consciousness, Petey is intrigued by the news story and decides to listen to the story instead of yelling at Jim for waking him up so early.
In the news story, Petey finds out that seven of Dog Man's former cellmates were pardoned by the governor after saving Dippy the dimwitted cashier.
Hearing this, Petey gets angry at the fact that seven dogs were freed for just saving one life, yet he had saved multiple lives and was still locked up. Soon enough, Jim and the other cellmates feel the same way of the unfairness to the cats and join Petey in starting a revolution that spread across the entire prison.
After rounding up everyone, Petey started giving a speech to his fellow cellmates, unbeknownst to the shrunken F.L.E.A.S sitting on one of his left whiskers.
Once Petey finishes his speech, the jail guard comes in and informs Petey that he had been pardoned by the governor on the phone. Hearing this, Petey rushes out of the prison and abandons the eevolution to figure things out by themselves.
Howeve on the way out, Jim came running to him and briefly hugs Petey, angering him, before brushing it off and leaving. What the two didn't know was that the F.L.E.A.S had accidentally escaped from Petey and landed onto Jim during the brief hug.
Petey rushes to his lab, where he purchases objects and possessions that kids would verily enjoy. After a long afternoon, Petey rushes to his frenemy's residence, where he finds and collects his son after telling him and his caretakers that he was pardoned.
While on the walk to their lab, Li'L Petey comments on some cute flowers, a pretty lake, and twinkly stars in the sky. However, his father corrects him, as the cute flowers were weeds, the pretty lake was polluted, and while there were beuatiful stars in the sky, there was a whole bunch of mud down on the ground.
After a long walk, the father and his son finally make it to their lab, where Petey shows Li'L Petey where all of the cool new things were and ends the tour at their rooms, when Petey explains that he would sleep in one room, while his son would be sleeping in another.
However, when Li'L Petey sees his small room, he states he would be sleeping with his father, and soon the two have a long argument for the rest of the day whether or not Li'L Petey would sleep in the room Petey gave him.
Once it was finally bedtime, Petey grabs his son and puts him in the kid-sized bed he bought earlier and states he would be sleeping there. Then, Petey grabs a book and statts reading it to his son, but is rudely interrupted by the latter complaining that he would sleep with his father.
Soon, a brief conversation escalates from Li'L Petey asking why Dog Man and 80HD couldn't live with them to why Petey hated his father.
When Li'L Petey brings up the idea of finding his grandfather, his father quickly puts him to sleep saying that the latter probably never had a change of heart, such as many others in the world.
However, before leaving the small room, Petey hears his on say good night to Dog Man and 80HD, so Petey looks out the window and finds his son's former caretakers sitting next to the lab.
Petey then confronts the two and, after a brief amount of time, tells them the idea he had of taking care of Li'L Petey during the week, while Dog Man and 80HD would take care of him during the weekends, which brightens their mood and they leave joyfully.
Once Petey comes into his room to sleep in his king-sized bed, he finds his son already sleeping in it. However, he decides not to say anything and just goes to sleep with a frown on his face.
However during the night, Li'L Petey sneaks out and goes to 80HD, telling him to go find his grandfather, believing it would cheer up his father.
The next morning, Petey and his son start working on their latest invention: the Robo-Rat 2000. While they're working, they are rudely interrupted by the ringing of the doorbell, so the two rush to answer it. Opening the door, Petey is surprised to see his long-lost father along with 80HD.
Petey's father comes in and compliments his son for the nice place he had, until the ruckus he made of destroying plates is heard, making Li'L Petey regret his action of bringing his grandfather there.
That afternoon after all of the destroyed plates were cleaned up, Petey's father is seen measuring the height of many of the possessions inside the lab.
As Petey's father sits down on a nearby lounge chair, his son comes with a plate of seafood crackers. Li'L Petey takes only one and thanks his father for allowing him to have them. However, Petey asks the same question to his father, who takes all of them and eats them, before quickly spitting them back out, saying that he did not want Petey to 'poison' him.
Later, Petey's father interrupts his son and grandson working on the Robo-Rat 2000 and asks if Li'L Petey was the smart one and Petey was the one who rarely helped at all.
Petey tells his father to knock it off, which the latter asks if he didn't, would his son cry, just like he did earlier in life. Petey's father then asks his grandson if his father ever told him about the incident about his tail being flat, while it was supposed to be curved.
However, the conversation goes to a halt once a nearby television shows the latest news about robotic balls robbing every store in the city. During the news broadcast, Dog Man comes to try and stop them, however he quickly gets afraid of them due to a therapy lesson Li'L Petey made him endure, so now balls reminded him of baths, and he quickly runs away to hide in a garbage can.
Seeing this, Petey and his son exchange looks and are even motivated by Petey's father to go save the day, so they get on the Robo-Rat 2000 and leave the lab to help defeat the robotic balls.
Coming out of the lab, they are greeted by the army of the robotic balls that were sent back by their creator Dr. Scum. Seeing this, Li'L Petey gets off the Robo-Rat to go and motivate Dog Man to help, which he succeds in doing and, after 80HD comes, helps round up the robotic balls into the mouth of the Robo-Rat, giving it the shape of a fat caterpillar.
Soon enough, the Robo-Rat had chased the very last remaining robotic ball up to the factory of Robo-Time Industries. Seeing this, Dr. Scum collects his Colossal-Bot 2000 and starts battling Petey and his robot, which the latter end up succeding.
However, Dr. Scum unleashes his hidden laser beam inside the Colossal-Bot and fires it at Petey and the Robo-Rat, trapping it into a charcoal tomb.
After the afternoon is spent inside the tomb, it cracks and reveals the Robo-Rat to be in the shape of a butterfly with a laser beam at the tip of its bottom.
Quickly, Petey and the Ratterfly go back to the chaos created by Dr. Scum, and he uses the laser at the tip of the bottom of the Ratterfly to destroy the Colossal-Bot. However, Dr. Scum hadn't been defeated that easily and runs away, only to trip on Jim, who was recently hypnotized by the F.L.E.A.S to be a cupcake-themed superhero that only ate cupcakes.
That was when the cop Milly and a male cop named Buster come and arrest Dr. Scum and congratulate Jim for it. Then, Jim finds out about the F.L.E.A.S in his fur and give them to the cops, who arrest them as well.
After the long day, Petey grabs his son after informing Dog Man and 80HD that he would bring him back to them since it was Friday.
While flying on the Ratterfly home, Li'L Petey sees the mad face of his father, who complains that despite the fact he did all of the work, Jim got all of the credit he didn't deserve.
As they reach their destination, they find Petey's father driving a suspicious vehicle away, wondering what the truck was and why he had it. However, those questions were answered once they reach the inside of their lab, as everything except for Li'L Petey's comics had been taken.
Petey then takes Li'L Petey's hand to take him to Dog Man's house, despite the fact Li'L Petey wanted to stay and help his father. However, Petey states that they had made a promise and they were going to keep it.
However, on the walk to their house, Li'L Petey states that his father was right. The world was indeed a cruel place, all just mud puddles, pollution, and weeds, even showing that the weeds were dying.
Petey and Li'L Petey then sit down together for a bit, Li'L Petey mad about his grandfather's betrayal and at the world. However, Petey looks up and finds a beautiful sight of stars going around in beautiful constellations. So, he tells his son, who is cheered up a bit.
The two then continue walking to Dog Man's house, during which Petey states that even if the world might have a lot of problems, but if could never be a horrible place, because he was in it.
Finally, the two come to Dog Man's house, where he takes Li'L Petey to the joyful Dog Man and 80HD, denying the offer Li'L Petey gave him to live there since he had secret rooms inside his own lab.
While walking back to his lab, Petey picks up the dead weeds, collects the empty wine glass in the river to hols the weeds, and stares directly at the stars, walking over mud he didn't care about.
Dog Man: Fetch-22[]
The following weekend had a bit of a nasty ending for Li'L Petey and his friends after watching the very last episode of the Fair Fairy show, a show about an old lady that looked like a fairy that made things fair for two kids on the show, since the following day the star of the show, the titular Fair Fairy, had been fired for her rude temper. However, the weekend had ended even more terribly after Petey collected his son from Dog Man and 80HD.
However, Li'L Petey and his friends came up with a plan throughout the weekend to stay with Li'L Petey and his father, so they quickly went to work on stuffing themselves inside a heavy backpack before Petey arrived. Once he did, Petey was fooled by Li'L Petey's plan and helps him try to get his huge backpack with Dog Man and 80HD inside outside the house.
However, Petey gets stumped at how heavy the backpack was and asks what was inside, and after hearing no response from his son, he was forced to take a look himself, and he immediately felt exasperated by who was in it, and quickly reminds his son on who was going to be living with him during the week, and who on the weekends. The two then leave the residence of Dog Man and start their journey to the lab, to which during this Petey teaches his son that life wasn't fair because he had two families that loved him, while so many other children didn't even have one.
The next morning, Petey is found with his son experimenting on a container of medicine called Supa Brain Dots, which, to Li'L Petey's shock, contained a chemical called GR-2, which caused anger to control the person using it in high doses, which was how Flippy from the first couple of books turned evil, meaning he was innocent.
However, Petey quickly changes the subject by giving his son a ladder and making him hold it as he climbed up to add a new sign on the lab, considering the fact that it was completely empty due to Petey's father stealing the letters on it. Then, Petey reveals that his father was currently imprisoned due to his theft from thr previous book.
Somehow, Petey had been convinced by his son to come visit his father in jail, so the jail guard comes to inform him and sees Petey's father concocting a type of sleep gas, so he asks about it, to which he responds by saying that he wasn't doing such a thing. Despite how obvious that he was doing it, the jail guard brushes it off and takes him to the visiting room, to where Petey's father pops a balloon filled with the sleep gas he concocted to make Petey and his son fall asleep, part of his master plan to disguise Petey as himself and disguise himself as Petey to leave jail without being noticed that he was not what he looked like.
After a while, Petey woke up from the effects of the sleep gas and finding himself being carried by the guard, who simply presumed that he fell asleep while talking to his visitors. However, Petey finds put the truth after looking at himself in a nearby mirror and quickly takes the glasses his father put on him and throws them away. However, the guard still believes that Petey is his father and tricks him into going into a jail cell and locking the door shut. As if Petey's life couldn't get any worse at the moment, Jim comes out of nowhere and explains that the two were cellmates now, much to Petey's disliking.
The rest of the afternoon goes by badly: Petey and Jim 'friendly' arguing about if Petey was his father or not. However, they are interrupted by the television, that shows Sarah showing concern about a giant, sentient, evil tree destroying the city. Because of this, Jim realizes that a superhero is needed inside the city and quickly gives a speech while putting on a superhero costume, even if Petey disapproved of Jim's 'heroics'.
Afterwards, Jim takes Petey to a poster hanging on the wall, and hits the wall with his fist, revealing an empty escape corridor behind the hanging poster.
After having an unwanted tour around the escape corridor, Jim and Petey finally escape the prison glued together due to Jim's stupidity.
Jim and Petey then arrive at a cupcake store with a huge cupcake sign, which Jim believes that the way to save the day from the sentient tree is to eat the fake giant cupcake, so he climbs up to do so, with Petey telling him not to do so on the way up.
After a long climb, the two finally get up and Jim immediately tries to eat the sign, before falling on the escaped father of Petey and the old television host, who are arrested by two cops after learning about Petey and his father's disguises.
Before leaving to his lab with his son, Li'L Petey asks him if the newly pardoned Flippy and his new tadpole friend Molly could live with them, as they didn't have a home. Reluctantly, Petey allows them to live with them, however they are interrupted by Flippy, who wishes to adopt Molly and her siblings, to which Flippy and Molly leave to the pond as Petey and his son walk forward to their lab.
On the way home, Li'L Petey states that Flippy was changing the world, to which Petey disagrees by saying that he was only taking care of a few tadpoles and that he wasn't going to change the whole world. However, Li'L Petey says that he might not change the world, but he would change their world, to which Petey happily agrees as they take the scenic route home.
Dog Man: Grime and Punishment[]
Throughout the next week, it can be presumed that Petey and his son created awesome gadgets and had fun together until the Friday night, when their weekend was also almost completely uneventful. However, at the end of the weekend, that changed when Chief was forced by the current mayor to fire Dog Man and not allow any dogs to be hired again.
Due to the new rule, Li'L Petey and 80HD created a cat helmet to put on Dog Man's head and explained it to him, just as Petey arrived. Once there, the three hugged, kissed, and patted Petey, much to his annoyance. Before Petey said anything, he noticed Dog Man and asked his son what was going on with him. Li'L Petey explained how Dog Man was fired and had to disguise himself as a cat in order to be rehired. Before collecting his son to go get some gelato, Petey gave Dog Man some advice, such as to not stick out his tongue and to not roll in any dead fish. Petey and his son then leave after saying goodbye.
After a few minutes of getting gelato, Petey asks his son if he could help him with a robot he started making during the weekend. Li'L Petey explains that he couldn't because he was going to have a meeting with his new comic club. Exasperated, Petey explains why they needed to build robots rather than make comics: his father. Petey then lays down onto a rock to relax a little bit, yet Li'L Petey sits on him with his gelato, claiming he wouldn't drip on him until he instantly does so.
Angrily, Petey goes to a nearby lake and washes himself off while saying to his son that he was still a little mad, but would get over it, which Li'L Petey enjoys and says it's important to forgive, yet Petey exclaims that it's better to not forgive everybody, such as his father. Surprisingly, Li'L Petey exclaims he already forgave him, which Petey tries to understand as Li'L Petey stops listening to him and finds a worm.
On their walk home, Petey states that sometimes you have to hate as it is the only thing left to feel, even if love is more important to Li'L Petey and his 'charmed' life. Petey states his father was even meaner to him and his mom. After a bit of silence as Petey made lunch, Li'L Petey asks why hasn't he met his grandmother, which Petey pretends to ignore and just says that Li'L Petey were to eat his food.
Throughout the rest of lunchtime, Li'L Petey asked why he couldn't meet his grandmother, which Petey kept saying he didn't want to talk about. Eventually, Petey gave up, and he told his son the importance of his father's abandonment in his life and how he left when his mother was ill. Li'L Petey asked if she ever got better, yet Petey refuses to answer. Instead, Petey says that sometimes, bad things happen, and you can't forgive or forget, and hate is the only emotion left. However, Li'L Petey states he didn't agree and says that hate had caused a lot of problems in the world, yet it hasn't solved any yet.
That night, Petey shows his son the robot he was having trouble with, which was a giant meerkat robot with a giant head. Before Li'L Petey could give his opinion on it, 80HD came out of the walls from out of nowhere and tries to show what was going on, yet Petey and even Li'L Petey couldn't understand. So, 80HD created multiple models and buildings out of clay and cereal boxes and created a claymation movie about how the current mayor had enough of Dog Man and his friends' antics and arrested them all as Petey's father, who turned himself into a spider-like monster, used Living Spray on the 3rd largest lunch bag in the world, creating Munchy. Petey and Li'L Petey then get on 80HD, as he breaks another wall out. Petey complains about this and says he should've used the door, so 80HD goes back inside breaking another wall, going downstairs, and going through the door, ripping it off its hinges.
Once they get to the pond, where Munchy was drinking out while holding Flippy, they are greeted by Molly, who had tried to rescue Flippy using her telekinesis. However, she had failed. Due to this, Li'L Petey tried getting his costume out, yet is interrupted by Petey, who states that Li'L Petey was happy, cheerful, and all about love during the day, yet when in the face of danger, he opened his claws and prepared to fight. Because of this, Li'L Petey, Molly, and 80HD joined together to fight Munchy using love instead of hate.
Eventually, they figure out everyone loves to draw, so they drew things they loved: squids for Molly, hearts for 80HD, and Petey for Li'L Petey, much to the latter's annoyance.
Soon enough, Munchy found out about his new tattoos and let go of Flippy to cover them up with his hands. Then, Molly exclaimed to her hiding siblings to draw what they love on Munchy, and eventually, Munchy ran away in embarrasment. Petey then explains as he saw Munchy run away that love had got lucky. Out of nowhere, Petey's father comes with the truck filled with the unlawfully arrested good guys and states that luck always ran out. Petey then asks what Li'L Petey was going to do now, yet the latter states he believed that it was Petey's battle, not theirs.
Due to this, Petey goes up to his father without knowing what to do. The awkwardness is broken by his father, who throws the truck he was holding away, yet it is caught by Flippy and Molly using their telekinesis. Petey then immediately goes back to his son saying he didn't know what to do and that he couldn't forgive as much as the latter. However, Li'L Petey states that he didn't have to love the way he did. He just had to get rid of his hate. Because of this, Petey reluctantly forgives his father, angering him to the point of getting rid of his Motor Brain, the device he used to turn himself into a spider-like monster, and questioning why, as there was nothing for him to forgive about. Then, Petey and his son just walk away back home, despite what Petey's father wanted.
On the walk home, they talk about how Petey's father was so angry when forgiven, and how Petey wished he already knew that so he could've done it years ago. Once they get there, Petey has Li'L Petey wait outside as Petey went inside to get some flowers.
The two then walk silently elsewhere, until they reach a graveyard and hit a tombstone. There, Petey plants the flowers while stating it had been a long time since he was last there and asks his son if it was beautiful, which the latter says it is. After a brief silence, Li'L Petey asked if his grandmother was under the tombstone. Petey says she's not in there, and is now in his and Li'L Petey's hearts. Then, a leaf falls down, which Li'L Petey asks if his grandmother was in there. However, Petey says that it was his story. He could color it any way he wanted. The two then leave the graveyard and go home.

In the last Captain Underpants book, its revealed that George and Harold became famous creating comics in the future, and their future selves even show a comic they made to their younger selves. In the comic, it is revealed that Petey presumably created a robotic doppelgänger of him that possibly murdered Petey, as when Chief sees the robotic doppelgänger of Petey, he mistakes it for him and says that he thought Petey died.

~ Petey in the movie. |
It is confirmed that he will appear in the film adaptation of the Dog Man series, voiced by Pete Davidson. While not much about his role is known, it is known that like in the books, Petey would want to destroy Dog Man at all cost along with his reluctant assistant. At one point, Petey would fire his assistant and continue to clone himself to create Li'l Petey. Toward the climax of the film, Petey would have to join forces with Dog Man to rescue Li'l Petey from Flippy the Bionic Fish.
