Pheros is a minor antagonist in the Fire Emblem franchise, serving as a minor antagonist in Fire Emblem Awakening and Tokyo Mirage Sessions ♯FE. She is the most loyal henchwoman of Walhart and one of his main lieutenants in his Valm Empire.
In Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, she was voiced by Mika Kanda.
Biography[]
Fire Emblem Awakening[]
Pheros is a former priestess of the Divine Dragons Naga and Mila from the continent of Valm, who once believed in the desire for peace of Emmeryn, the queen and high priestess of the Kingdom of Ylisse, and went on a pilgrimage to hear her. However, after meeting with Emperor Walhart, who wished to take over the world in an attempt to bring eternal peace, she fell in love with him and decided to disregard her religion in order to work him. She ultimately rose through the ranks and became both one of the Emperor's lieutenants and the commander of the division of the Empire located at the center of the Valmnese Empire. She ended up seeing Walhart as a "god among men" and fell in love with him.
During the main story of Fire Emblem Awakening, Pheros is attacked by the Resistance led by Queen Emmeryn's brother Chrom, which attempts to take out her division in order to weaken the Imperial Army. She encounters her fellow general Excellus, who tells her that they'll buy her time by sending rebellious warlords whom they blackmailed fight the Resistance. Pheros reluctantly admits that the tactician's plan might work, though she finds them and their methods disgusting, considering Excellus to be an "odious freak".
She faces the Resistance in her base, Fort Steiger, and she and Chrom meet each other on the battlefield. They question their respective goals and have a fight, the battle ending with Pheros' demise as she dies saying whilst she may not live to see Walhart's dream of unity come to fruition, seeing it in her dreams was enough.
Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE[]
In Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE, Pheros is a very different from her Awakening counterpart, being significantly more evil character and devoid of any sympathetic and honorable qualities, she appears as a four winged female centaur, similar to Aversa. As a mirage, she feeds on performa, the latent creative energy inside of human beings, with artists and singers being especially potent sources of performa, if all of someone's performa is consumed, the person dies.
One year ago, Pheros attacked the famous Japanese music idol, Azusa Maekawa, for her performa. Kiria tried to save Azusa, but wasn't able to stop Pheros from not only escaping, but also consuming all of Azusa's performa, killing the idol and leaving Kiria filled with guilt.
In the present, Pheros manages to take control of the famous musician and Azusa's former partner, Chouten Sawafuji, intending to consume him like she did to Azusa. With the help of her friends, especially Tsubasa's singing voice, Kiria managed to free Sawafuji and kill Pheros, avenging Azusa's death.

- In the Japanese version, Pheros is known as Fels and part of the reason she dislikes Excellus, known as Exceli in Japan, is because of their gender ambiguity.
