“ | Trousers. Philip Trousers. (to his reflection) Looking good! Bottoms up! [...] I do like my drink with just a splash! (chuckles) Top humor, Phil! Clever, fun... thought-provoking. | „ |
~ Philip's most famous quote. |
“ | You may have won this round, Pam-I-Am, but didn't you hear? The Zooks, they've a new, unstoppable weapon! An inventor whose every invention immediately explodes! Bam! Hahaha! | „ |
~ Philip to Pam, and his second most famous quote. |
Agent Philip Trousers is a major antagonist of the 2019 Netflix series Green Eggs and Ham, serving as the secondary antagonist of season 2. He is Pam-I-Am’s arch-nemesis.
He is a secret agent sent by the Zookian government to obtain the Moo-Lacka-Moo, a powerful but dangerous substance meant to power a war weapon used against the Yooks. He worked with Marilyn Blouse.
He is voiced by Rob Brydon, who also voices Snalfred.
Personality[]
Philip is a vain and self-centered spy obsessed with his own appearance. Despite this, he is dedicated to his mission to obtain the Moo-Lacka-Moo and doesn't care if he has to hurt someone in order to stop them from getting in way of his goals, as he was willing to let Pam-I-Am drown and/or get attacked by dolphacudas. He also isn't very bright, as he doesn't understand obvious code words and has problems starting his company's plane despite it only having one button.
Biography[]
Green Eggs and Ham: The Second Serving[]
Trousers is first seen in "The Mom Identity", where he gets into a fight with Pam-I-Am over a briefcase containing the Moo-Lacka-Moo after Sam-I-Am accidentally reveals her location. After Pam and Sam run into each other while trying to catch the Moo-Lacka-Moo, Trousers catches it instead and flies away using a small helicopter in his bowtie.
The next episode he appears in is "Goldenguy", where he is travelling to Zookia on a boat and Pam is trying to catch him. She tries using a freeze ray on him, but thanks to another well-meaning mishap by Sam, it malfunctions, only spitting out a single ice cube and freezing itself, much to Philip's amusement. Pam continues to chase Philip thorough the episode, but after Sam accidentally transforms her boat into a train, he escapes. Pam and Philip meet later that night, where he punches three holes into her boat and leaves her to get eaten by dolphacudas.
In "Three Days of Mom-dor", he meets up with his partner Marilyn Blouse on a fancy ball to inform her that he managed to get the Moo-Lacka-Moo. The two then notice that Sam and Pam have infiltrated the ball and run inside a secret hideout, where Marilyn tries to get Philip to fly away with the Moo-Lacka-Moo using a company plane. Sam manages to grab the suitcase that supposedly contained Moo-Lacka-Moo, only to find out that Marilyn and Philip replaced it with a fake containing the Goo-Lacka-Goo.
In "You Only Mom Twice", he crash lands on an island where the closer you get to the middle, the younger you get. There, a kangarangutan steals the Moo-Lacka-Moo from him. After taking off his parachute, he starts chasing it, only to turn back into a teenager. Later, the kangarangutan gives the Moo-Lacka-Moo to Pam and Philip, who managed to hitch a ride on a crocopotamus off screen, starts chasing her and Sam out of the jungle, at which point they all start aging back to their present day selves. At one point, Sam takes throws a bike mirror at Philip, which causes him to get distracted by his reflection, allowing Pam and Sam to trip the crocopotamus and launch Philip into the ocean, where he gets cornered onto a floating tree stump by several angry crocopotamuses. He then tells Pam that even though she's won "this round", the Zooks have a new secret weapon - an inventor whose every invention explodes, from which Sam quickly figures out that he's talking about Guy.
At the end of "On Her Dookess' Secret Service", Philip finds Sam, who was trying to take the Moo-Lacka-Moo from The Dooka of Yookia's castle, leading to events of "The Mom Who Loved Me", where the two are shown fighting over it. They end up dropping it and it gets sucked into the ventilation system, making them both enter it in order to get it back.
Just as Philip is about to catch it, Sam manages to distract him by pulling down his suit and jumps over him. Trousers is last seen admiring himself in a bubble left over by the Goo-Lacka-Goo that Pam used in order to stop the missiles Zookia and Yookia launched at each other, only to notice a piece of grass stuck in his teeth. He gets closer in order to get it out and gets sucked in. Marilyn comes by and Philip asks her to get him out, but Marilyn instead blows the bubble, along with Philip in it, away. It is unknown what happened to Philip afterwards.

Trivia[]
- Despite being the secondary antagonist, Trousers did all the work and was proven to be more dangerous and irredeemable than two main villains.
- Trousers appearance is a dark form of James Bond.
- According to his government file, he is 4 feet and 2 inches tall and weighs 100 pounds. It's worth noting however that he actually seems to be of average height by his species' standards.
- Philip can be seen as a dark counterpart to Pam, Guy, and E.B. (Despite both of them interacting with Phillip once in episode 8 in Season 2).
- Pam-I-Am: Both are secret agents working for the respective rulers of Zookia and Yookia, but Pam is very selfless and cares about everyone, especially her son Sam, while Philip is more self-absorbed and only cares about himself.
- Guy-Am-I and E.B.: As for both Guy and E.B.; three of them are stubborn in the show latest episodes; as when Guy shown to be dismissive of his stepdaughter, E.B. because she thinks he only cares about the invention shop rather than thinking about his stepdaughter’s problems and E.B. on the other hand harshly states that “The only reason why you takes the Zook’s side, is because they’re the only ones that don’t care if your stupid inventions blow up!” And he wrongly puts Looka in jail because he was afraid that he wants to protects her. And when Guy admitted that her mother, Michellee’s having a baby, she coldly states that he’s going to be a horrible parent to the new family member, because in her eyes; he’s been horrible towards her. And with Trousers; a self centered egotist how holds no regard for anyone else’s life but his own. However for both Guy and E.B.; despite his wrong mistakes, he cares deeply for his family and his friend around him and only want it what’s best for E.B. and he does realize his mistakes and while E.B. does realize her harsh mistake after figuring out that Guy secretly put a key inside a book to break out Looka and eventually both make amends in the end. Phillip on the other hand; never redeems himself and is narcissist and selfish who only cares about himself. If Pam, Guy, and E.B. haven’t learn their moral standards, letting their stubbornness consume them, and haven’t cared about their family, they’ve would’ve end up like Phillip.
