Phyllis H. Paddock, also known possibly as Azazel, is the main antagonist of The X-Files episode Die Hand Die Verletzt.
She is some sort of demonic entity (probably Azazel or one of his avatars), who disguised herself as a substitute teacher in high school after one of the students performed a summoning ritual. Paddock then started to kill teachers in the satanistic clique and students present while performing the ritual.
She was portrayed by Susan Blommaert, who has also played Mr. Kaplan in the Blacklist.
Biography[]
Paddock is summoned by high school student Jerry Stevens and his three friends in a mock satanistic ritual. However, Paddock murders Stevens by ripping out his heart and eyes.
Next day, Paddock introduces herself as the new teacher in the high school. She murders Shannon Ausbury, daughter of the headmaster, and the starts attacking the satanistic teachers in the school, while tricking Dana Scully and Fox Mulder into helping her. She eventually kills all teachers and leaves, leaving a note to Mulder and Scully.
