Pierre Beaumont is the main antagonist of the Act 3 in the Blood Ice Steel campaign in Age of Empires III.
He was voiced by Daniel Riordan, who also played Alduin in Skyrim, Bhunivelze in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII and Colonel Matthew Garret in Days Gone.
Biography[]
Pierre Beaumont is a French Woodsman. His origins are unknown, as while his accent is French, it is uncertain if he is from Quebec, New Orleans, or Paris.
He was mentioned to have been a member of the New Orleans aristocracy, but later left to be a prospector and trapper.
During the Mexican-American War, Beaumont fled to an American fort controlled by the Falcon Company, a railroad company owned by Amelia Black. After assisting Amelia and Major Cooper in defending the Fort, he attempted to lure Amelia into a trap by offering her a chance of wealth in the mountains of Colorado. His plan was foiled, however, when Amelia's granduncle Kanyenke arrived to warn Amelia just as they were about to enter a cave.
After being chased out of the cave, Beaumont and the Circle headed to Florida to claim the gold from the sunken Spanish Treasure Fleet. Amelia, Cooper, and Kanyenke managed to track him down, but Beaumont killed Cooper by siccing his wolves on him.
He then led the Circle to attack the last city of the Inca in order to acquire the barrels of the Fountain's water. Amelia and Kanyenke arrived at the Inca City and saved it, but Beaumont managed to steal many water barrels during the battle.
Beaumont then returned to the Circle's stronghold in Havana to attempt to finally drink the water and gain immortality. With the help of the Cubans and the U.S. Navy, Amelia destroyed Beaumont's fortress and looked for the man himself. He attempted to stab Amelia from above, but Kanyenke noticed and pushed her out of the way. Amelia managed to grab her rifle and shoot Beaumont, killing him and ending the Circle of Ossus once and for all.
Powers and Abilities[]
He fought with knives, which he throws with excellent precision. (In the Campaign, when he loses all his Hit points, he will be unconscious until he regains enough hit points). He could collect treasures, but was unable to build any buildings, including Trading posts.
