The Pilot Predator is a major antagonist in the 2025 Hulu science fiction action film Predator: Killer of Killers. He is a Yautja who carried out an aerial hunt during World War II where he came into conflict with an American squad pilot and rookie pilot John J. Torres.

Appearance[]

This Yautja spoeted greenish skin and completely bald. His keft eye had since replaced with cybernetic eyepatch to assist him in carrying out aerial hunts. The eyepatch in question may or may not connected to a mask that covered his mouth but left his mandibles exposed. He also wore a chest plate over his torso and sproted spike-like protrusions on both shoulders and sides of head, latter which emulated sideburns on humans.

Personality[]

Pilot Predator was unusual among his kind because he carried out his hunts while piloting his customized Scout Ship thus limiting his target on skilled combat pilots. That aside, his approach remained same; take out those who could fight until a worthy prey revealed themselves.

Biography[]

Background[]

The backstory of this Yautja remained to be revealed, let alone which clan he hailed from. His cybernetic enhancement and modus operandi of his hunt that not unlike exemplary Yautjas such as Jungle Hunter (stalking formidable preys and stealthily taking them out one by one until the toughest and most formidable of them revealed themselves) suggested that injuries sustained from his previous, more traditional hunts handicapped him to the point of no longer as capable in such sport as he used to be. Whatever the case, his skill and experience translated well into his superb piloting proficiency as demonstrated with his customized Scout Ship.

Predator: Killer of Killers[]

In 1942, Pilot Predator ambushed a squadron of American fighter planes, sparing no one but a lone survivor who crashed his plane back to the same aircraft carrier where the rookie pilot and mechanic John J. Torres assigned at. This prompted Captain Vandy to set out to investigate alongside his own squadron, Texas Aces. As he did, Torres discovered one of Pilot Predator's harpoons lodged into the wounded pilot's wrecked plane and tried to break it down only for his torch and the engine of the plane Delgado armed it, leading to the projectile flew away with part of the plane Delgado attempted to fly with. Such turn of events made Torres realized they were facing an alien interloper.

By the time Captain Vandy and Texas Aces engaged a squadron of Vichy fighters and soundly defeated them all, they were unknowingly observed by Pilot Predator in his cloaked custom Scout Ship. Just as he finally set his sight upon former group, Torres showed up with an old fighter plane, The Bullet, to warn his comrades about the interloper. He was soon proven right when one of pilots of Texas Aces got taken out while another one accidentally crashed his plane onto Pilot Predator's cloaked custom Scout Ship, exposing him to everyone present. The ensuing skirmish proved too one-sided for Torres and co.'s liking, as Pilot Predator easily shot Texas Aces pilots down one by one with his custom Scout Ship's Netball and Harpoon Launchers, more so thanks to the hull of the Yautja's own aircraft too impervious to be damaged by their planes' guns. It was until Torres figured out weaponry of Pilot Predator's custom Scout Ship homed in on targets through their heat signature; one of harpoons aimed at The Bullet struck its burning bomb Torres manually detached instead of the plane itself.

Undeterred, Pilot Predator continued his chase on Torres and Vandy who were on their own at point — the two's only chance to win was taking advantage on the alien interloper's confirmed weakness. He soundly shot Vandy's plane down with a projectile that emanated laser whips which sliced both it and its pilot into pieces but lost The Bullet in process — Vandy had sacrificed himself to buy his comrade more time for their plan, much to Torres's grief that he had no choice but to press on. Both The Bullet and Pilot Predator's custom Scout Ship flew above the clouds before descending back to Earth, the latter unaware that it was a trap.

To his shock, Torres successfully destroyed one of his custom Scout Ship's thrusters — one of its weakpoints — with The Bullet's machine guns from behind. Yet it took more than a damaged thruster to defeat the now aggravated Pilot Predator who finally decided to go all-out against his confirmed worthy opponent. As the result, Torres improvised by deliberately flew into enemy territory that was occupied by Nazis loyalist French; the ensuing heated chase surrounded by other players of World War II who oblivious with what just transpired saw Pilot Predator's custom Scout Ship severely damaged by anti-aircraft cannons belonged to both American Navy and the Nazis-loyalist French Navy who engaged each other at the time.

Even with catastrophic damage on his custom Scout Ship, Pilot Predator was far from finished. Emerging from the sea below them, Pilot Predator attempted to engage The Bullet once more. Anticipating his opponent's next attempt to improvise, Pilot Predator pulled up as soon as Torres unveiled his parachute which still connected to his plane just as the alien interloper's harpoon struck its engine. Unfortunately, the custom Scout Ship's nose got caught by the wire between said projectile's tip and thrusters, leading to the fiery engine of The Bullet slammed onto Pilot Predator's face, blowing him along with his aircraft into smithereens.

Legacy[]

The recording from Pilot Predator's final hunt would be reviewed by his brethren back in Yautja Prime. That, coupled with Torres' exploit in defeating him, would reach Grendel King leading ti the Clan Leader to order his capture.

Trivia[]

  • It's worth to mention that despite his unusual modus operandi, Pilot Predator chose to outfit his custom Scout Ship with less-damaging weaponry (harpoons, Netball Launchers, and laser whip projectile) instead of more destructive plasma-cannons. That, coupled with him stalked potential worthy preys before taking them out one by one until the most tenacious of them revealed themselves, ruled out the idea of him and his Clan being a community of Bad Blood Yautjas like Super Predators introduced in Predators.
