Biography[]
In the short film, Puss recounts the time where he tried to retrieve the trident. He states that prior to the heist, The Pirate Captain and his crew had stolen Poseidon's Trident. Puss then attempts to retrieve it for himself so that he can save the town of Del Mar from a drought. He sneaks onto the ship, and attempts to retrive the trident from the Captain's hands while he's asleep, but accidentally wakes him up.
The Captain attempts to stab Puss with the Trident, but narrowly avoids the attack, and gets the trident, but is later met up with Goldilocks. Kitty Softpaws, who made a surprise appearence is sent to retrieve the Trident, shows up on the ship, Kitty plucks the guitar strings and wakes all of the pirates to attack them. Kitty escapes with the Trident, but the Captain then directs his crew to put Puss into a cannon to kill him. Kitty however saves Puss by summoning a tidal wave with the Trident.
These events ironically made Puss decide to put himself into a cannon, in order to prove to Kitty that he was in no significant danger, which resulted in him losing his fifth life.
