The Pitanga Tree Girls, also know as The Pitanga Tree District Girls, are the secondary antagonists of the Monica's Gang franchise.
The team is composed of Penha, Agnes and Sofia, three evil and mean girls from the Pitanga Tree district, a district from São Paulo, famous for having a "'negativity energy in the air", that is actually provided by these girls.

Background[]
Penha, Agnes and Sofia live on the Pitanga Tree district. They are friends with each other because of the bad behavior they have in common. They have a big fame, not only in the Pitanga Tree district, but in the entire city, as they are feared by every kid who knows them. At times, they team up to bully certain children in "their" district, as they feel free to do anything they want to anyone, if they are in their district.
Monica's Gang[]
They first met with Monica's gang when Maggy and Monica were trying to get to an ice cream shop located in the Pitanga Tree disitritc. In their way, they saw Penha, the Dreaded, Agnes, the Tenebrous and Sofia, the Terrible, all of the members of the group, and Maggy told Monica about each on of them. In the end, they teamed up to bully and kick Monica and and Maggy out of their district, but they were defeated, Sofia by Maggy's pitangas, Agnes by Vanilla's, Maggy's cat, fur, and Penha by Denise, a member from the gang who has a so high self-esteem, that wasn't affected by Penha's manipulation power.
The girls do not appear together again until Monica Teen/Adventures. It's member however, made several appearences in the series: Penha in "Trouble in the Supermarket", "Jimmy's New Girlfriend" and "Lemon Tree's new Leader", Agnes in "Little Shadows from the Past" and "The Missing Birds", while Sofia only appeared in "A Rock in the Middle of the Field". It's heavily implied in Monica Teen, however, that the girls bullied the gang much more than it was showed to us.
Monica Teen[]
The girls act as the main antagonists of the Shadows from the Past arc in Monica Teen, with Penha as the main antagonist, Agnes as the secondary antagonist, and Sofia as a supporting antagonist-turned-into a supporting protagonist.
The arc follows Penha's plan of revenge against the gang, with she serving as the mastermind, Agnes as the muscles of the group (Since she now has supernatural abilities) and Sofia serving the role of a spy, infiltrated in Monica's group of friends to discover how the plan was going. In the end, Sofia redeem herself, after a while with Monica and her friends, she finally discovered true friendship, Agnes was banished to the afterlife by Angelo, and Penha being hospitalized due to hitting the head against a boat, this being the last time the girls acted like villains together.
