~ Pizza the Hutt |
Pizza the Hutt is a mobster who serves as the minor antagonist in the 1987 science fiction film by MGM, Spaceballs. He is a parody character, both of Jabba the Hutt from Star Wars, and the restaurant franchise, Pizza Hut.
He was voiced by the late Dom DeLuise.
History
When the main protagonists, Lone Starr and Barf fails to pay back the crime-lord Pizza the Hutt, Pizza the Hutt threatens the two, telling him that they must obtain 1,000,000 space-bucks by tomorrow or, according to his minion Vinnie, "Pizza is going to send out for YOU!".
This is the driving force for Lone Starr and Barf's quest to save Princess Vespa, after King Roland, the king of Druidia, asked Lone Starr and Barf to rescue his daughter from Dark Helmet. At first they wanted nothing to do with rescuing the princess as they were number one on Dark Helmet's hit list. But King Roland said he would give them anything to rescue his daughter. After hearing that, Lone Starr and Barf told the King, give them 1,000,000 space-bucks and in return, they would rescue his daughter from Dark Helmet and the Spaceball armada.
Once Lone Starr successfully saves Vespa, as well as saved Druidia from literally suffocating to death, it's been discovered that Pizza the Hutt somehow got locked in his limousine car, which resulted in him eating himself to death. But despite Barf suggesting to Lone Starr that they could keep the money for themselves, Lone Starr refused the reward money. Instead all he asked Roland for some money for gas, food and tolls.
Trivia
