The Plague Doctor is a major antagonist in the 2023 Roblox video game, Tower Defense X.
He is the commander of the Plague Division which is part of Dr. Xenon's army as well as one of her enforcers. He is also responsible for reviving Void's zombie horde.
Appearance[]
The Plague Doctor is a humanoid dressed in plague doctor attire, which consists of a black leather suit with cybernetic parts embedded on it. He wears a bird-like mask with green eyes, and a black leather hat. He has a backpack containing chemicals, along with a pet bird. He usually carries a cane with chemicals, and sometimes a spray gun in combat.
His revived version has improved mechanical modifications on his body, whereas his head sports a robotic mask with three eyes and black hood, his left arm is replaced with a cyber prosthetic arm that can spray chemicals. His cane is now upgraded into a scythe.
Biography[]
Easy Mode[]
The Plague Doctor makes his first appearance as the main boss of Easy difficulty, making him the first boss the player encounters. Appearing on wave 24, he uses his spray gun to spray towers and give debuffs, with the debuffs depending on the color of the spray. He can also use his staff to summon resurrected enemies. He is the only boss that cannot deal damage or kill towers, as he serves as an introduction to bosses in the game. In one ability, the Plague Doctor sends a bird to hit a random tower, implying that he abuses animals. After being defeated, he will fall to the ground deceased.
Elite Mode[]
The Plague Doctor returns on Elite difficulty as the main boss again, after being mechanically modified and revived. Unlike Easy difficulty, Revived Plague Doctor can damage and kill towers. Losing his spray gun, he instead has a prosthetic arm to replace it. After his defeat, his backpack explodes, killing him once more.
Endless Mode[]
In Endless mode, Plague Doctor and his revived form return as recurring bosses, with Plague Doctor being the first boss encountered in the mode.

Trivia[]
- In Endless mode, a miniboss called the Plague Guardian appears alongside Plague Doctor, it also appears in the reworked Elite difficulty in Wave 34. However, it is not seen on Easy difficulty despite fitting the theme of the difficulties.
