~ Q

Planetoid Q is a minor antagonist in Super Robot Monkey Team Hyperforce Go! He's a planet sent by the Skeleton King towards a collision course to Shugazoom, believing it to be his path in life. Determined to fulfill his purpose, he tried to stop the Hyperforce from getting in his way so he can succeed in his goal.

Biography[]

Prior to the events of the episode, Skeleton King found Q wandering around in the galaxy filled with a lack of purpose. Deciding on his chance, Skeleton King gave him the will to follow a path towards Shugazoom, tasking him with destroying it. Thinking he finally found his path in life, Q decided to send himself on a collision course towards Shugazoom Planet.

Eventually, he was spotted by the Hyperforce and the civilians as he slowly made his way towards the planet. Upon seeing this, Otto decided on building the gravitron disruptor to assist with sending the unidentified Planetoid away. As they made their way towards the Planetoid, Q's ice asteroids created a disturbance in their navigation. However, they managed to break free and got the device into position. However, as they fired the device, instead of pushing him away, it revealed his true face showing that he was sapient. Upon realizing this, Chiro decided to reason with the planet, telling him to change direction. However, instead of listening to him Q told him he had to do it because he had to and decided to retaliate by shocking the Super Robot with electricity emitted from his eyes. As Chiro decided on fleeing, Antauri discovered that Q's interior is what caused him to propel him towards the city. Upon learning this, the Hyperforce decided on sending themselves inside the planet to destroy the system. As they ventured further into the planet, Chiro continued asking him why he was trying to destroy their home in which Q continued replying to the same response, further making Chiro wonder what he meant by it. In attempt to stop the Hyperforce, he attempted to disrupt them by hurling a wave of red water in his interior, sweeping them around. As they further ventured inside, Q's slimey eye creatures attempted to consume them slowly while trapping them inside. When they got close to the propulsion system, Chiro provoked the planet telling him they would stop him in which Q tricked them into heading towards his eye and webbing the Super Robot on it. On a last-ditch effort, Chiro decided to head towards the propulsion system by himself to stop Q's plans. When Chiro found his brain, Q's neurons tailed him and caught him, sending Chiro into Q's conscience. Inside Q's mind, Q revealed his interior form as Chiro made one more effort to convince Q to stop his unreasonable plans to destroy his planet as they fought, even asking what a non-sentient planet even did to deserve Q's treatment. That's when the Skeleton King revealed that it was his idea to send Q towards the planet. Upon mentioning that he chose Q's "path", Chiro realized that Q was being misled by the Skeleton King to define his purpose and realized that his approach of convincing him was misguided. Upon learning his lesson, Chiro unleashed the Power of Primate, releasing its power inside Q's mind showing him that he didn't need to let someone else control his destiny and that he can define his own purpose. Q was reluctant to accept this, believing it to be a fallacy and showing fear of making the wrong decision. That's when Chiro told him it would be Ok as long as he can trust and believe in himself to make his own choice. Upon realizing this, Q learned the error of his ways and stood up against the Skeleton King, blasting his essence out of his mind. To help Q change his decision, Chiro led the Hyperforce to push him fast enough so his kinetic energy can propel the direction away from the planet. Upon the collision being prevented, Q faced the Hyperforce telling him he wanted to form a full alliance with the team. When the Hyperforce accepted his offer, Q literally reformed himself towards his new path, taking on a new form before moving on his way on a new path set for himself as the Hyperforce chanted their mantra.

Personality[]

Planetoid Q was once a planet that wandered throughout the galaxy, not knowing what his purpose in life was. As a result, he's shown to be manipulated by others in defining his own destiny. When Q settles on a path, he's determined to fulfill his mission, believing it to be his purpose in life. He also shows fear in making his own decisions, not being able to trust himself in finding his own path in life and letting others do the work, not even questioning the morals of their decisions. As a result, he shows a disconnect between other people's way of thinking and his own. However, when Chiro realized why he made his decision, Q was able to be convinced that he had free will and could freely be able to make his own decisions. Fully embracing his newfound sense of freedom, Q decided to make a fully alliance towards the Hyperforce, showing that at heart he's a good planet that was once badly influenced by the Skeleton King.
