Player 348 is a minor antagonist of the Netflix K-drama Squid Game. He is a player of the 37th Squid Games and a member of Team O. He is portrayed by Kang Min-seok.
Biography[]
Player 348 was in heavy debt and decided to participate the 37th squid game to win enough money to pay it off. He survived Red Light, Green Light off-screen and voted O to keep playing, like the majority of the players. He survived Six-Legged pentathlon and voted O once again, he survived Mingle and voted O once again.
As the vote ended up in a tie, tensions grew up between the two teams. In the bathroom, during an argument Thanos is having with Lee Myung-gi, Thanos shouts to Team O, saying that the X's want to attack them, and Player 348 instantly defending his team by insulting Team X. When the bathroom fight started Player 094 grabbed Player 348 from behind, attempted to strangle him, shoved him into a urinal and punched him in the face several times; the two continued fighting and no one managed to gain the upper hand.
He gets the second kill in the Special Game, he brutally kills Player 307 by smashing a glass bottle on his head, proceeding to beat him to death. When guards enter the dorm, he is seen surrendering to them. Player 348 is seen alive just as the Special Game ends. Later, during the shootout he can be seen getting shot (Possibly by Player 145 or 047) while hiding on a bed. His corpse appeared moved afterwards on two different locations.
Personality[]
Just like the rest of the other Team O players, Player 348 is a greedy and remorseless man who is willing to kill others just to win the prize money. He was also somewhat of an immature prick, with him deeming the Xs as wimpy-ass little shits coming off as extremely vulgar, crude, and childish in a way due to how it was delivered, also telling the Xs to piss their pants and fuck off further supports this. It can be inferred from this that Player 348 enjoyed infantilizing Team X and could potentially hold a great deal of contempt.
