You know what I mean, right? You picking on my cute, dumb brothers and sisters is really annoying me!
~ Plumeria

Plumeria is an antagonist in Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon. She is the admin of Team Skull who sees her grunts as her "Cute, dumb brothers and sisters". She has a reputation of being known as the Big Sister of Team Skull due to her strict but caring nature towards her lower grunts.

In the anime, she was voiced by Saki Endo in the Japanese version and by Jo Armeniox in the English dub.

Biography

Pokémon Sun/Pokémon Moon

The player first encounters Plumeria at the Memorial Hills shortly after beating two Team Skull grunts. Plumeria introduces herself, first hearing about the player from Gladion. She reveals herself as a member of Team Skull, and then battles the player for revenge on defeating her grunts. After her defeat, she goes to leave, but not before warning the player not to interfere with Team Skull any longer.

She later appears at the Aether House alongside two Team Skull grunts after the player completes Acerola's trial. She once again challenges the player to a battle while Acerola and Hau takes on the grunts. After defeating her, she reveals that they stole a Yungoos from one of the children in the Aether House, and tells the player to come to Po Town, Team Skull's hideout, alone to retrieve it. When the player and Acerola, however, Plumeria later returns to the Aether House. Here, she kidnaps Lillie and takes her to the Aether Paradise

After Lusamine fled to the Ultra Space alongside Guzma at the Aether Paradise, the player and Lillie heads to Poni Island in order to summon Solgaleo/Lunala to save them. At route 16, however, they are stopped by a group of Team Skull grunts, angry and upset that their boss is missing. The grunts challenges the player to a battle, while Plumeria watches from a distance. After they are defeated, they attempt to battle again, but were stopped by Plumeria, asking if the player can really retrieve Guzma. She apologizes to Lillie for her actions, and as a way to apologize to the player, gives them the Poisonium Z before leaving.

After beating the Pokemon League, Plumeria can appear as one of the challengers for the Alola champion title, convinced to do so by Nanu and Molayne. It is also revealed that she is no longer a member of Team Skull.

Anime

Plumeria first appeared in the episode "That's Some Spicy Island Research!", calling out some grunts for losing a fight against Hapu and later not catching some Oricorio on her request.

She later appears in "The Dealer of Destruction!", going at the Shady House with her boss. Hearing of the Alola League, she along with Plumeria arrived at the Shady House with Guzma. After hearing from the Team Skull Grunts about Professor Kukui's announcement of the first Alola League, she went to Melemele Island's Pokemon School along with Guzma and Tupp, Rapp and Zipp. Fighting against Ash, the fight ended early due to Golispod's ability. Following her offer to the hero to join Team Skull being ignored, she and Guzma plans to destroy the newly formed League.

In "League Defenders and Offenders!", Plumeria witnesses Tupp, Rapp and Zipp being confronted by Ash and Hau, in addition to Guzma's confrontation with Professor Kukui, shortly thereafter. Plumeria was seen as the 151 competitors getting ready for the Alola League battle ahead of her.

In "Battle Royal 151!", Plumeria competed in the Manalo Conference. She targetted Illima, who was the fan-favorite slated to win the Pokemon League. She used her Salazzle in the Battle Royale round, where she battled Illima and his Eevee, after beating the participating Team Skull Grunts in the process. Despite losing, she still managed to beat Eevee to a pulp, which meant that she succeeded in what she set out to do from the start.

In "The Road to The Semifinals!", Plumeria supported Guzma in the process of his battle against Lana, along with the other Team Skull Grunts who were also cheering for him. In "The Final Four", she warned him not to let his guard down before his battle against Ash, only for him to ignore her advice. In "Getting Down to The Ire!" and "The Wisdom Not to Run!", During and after Guzma's battle with Ash, she talked with Guzma after he lost his battle.

She made her final cameo appearance in "Thank You Alola! The Journey Continues!", where she would observe Guzma and Golisopod trained with his subordinates.

Personality

Plumeria is known as the big sister of Team Skull because she treats her grunts in a strict, but caring way. She views her grunts as her little brothers and sisters, and doesn't like the idea of anyone defeating her grunts. As a result, she will battle those who defeated her grunts as revenge, which is what motivates the first battle against her.
