Biography[]
The Poet Pirate's origins are unknown, what is known is that he was a vicious pirate who gained his name for his "Book of Verses" which he writes his poetry on. He was found when his ship was wrecked and stranded in the ocean where he is rescued by sailors of a random ship. They realized who he was when he asked on where his book was and took him prisoner with plans to executing him.
Before they did so, the Poet wrote down clues to a hidden treasure called the "Sandhurst Treasure" that sank with the Lucy Grey ship. In truth, the treasure does not exist, and it was merely a fluke to manipulate others into conducting murders. Before he is hanged, he tells a member of the ship about this treasure, giving him his Book of Verses, then is hanged on the ship.
The sailors began murdering each other left and right, the captain included who wanted to find the treasure for himself. One sailor kills the captain and burn the ship down, with everyone inside. This ran on throughout the centuries, from Nobleman poisoned by his wife to a random monk being stabbed in the back. It wasn't until the book was discovered and placed in a museum, where upon the supervillain Black Hand sought to find the book and uses it to locate the treasure. Thus leading Captain Flag to pursue him and prevent him from finding this treasure.
