Pamela Isley, aka Poison Ivy, is a supporting antagonist in the 2021 animated film Batman: The Long Halloween.
She was voiced by Katee Sackhoff, who also played Amunet Black in The Flash and Bo-Katan Kryze in the Star Wars franchise.
History[]
Ivy was hired by Carmine Falcone to take control of Bruce Wayne after he refused to do business with the Falcone family. She first appears at Alberto's funeral as Falcone's partner. Using her powers, she takes control of Bruce when he shakes her hand. Ivy uses her control over the billionaire to force him to sign over assets to the Roman, unintentionally keeping him from investigating the Holiday murders as Batman. Three months later, Catwoman puts an end to Ivy's manipulations freeing Bruce from her control and sending her to Arkham Asylum. All the assets Bruce signed over under her control were returned to him.
On October 31st, the former district attorney, turned supervillain Two-Face and his accomplice Solomon Grundy attacks Arkham and free several inmates including Ivy, Scarecrow, Joker, Penguin and Mad Hatter. The villains attack Falcone's building and take him hostage. As they then captured Falcone, Ivy and the others waited for Two-Face to end his life so they could have the city for themselves, but Batman and Catwoman entered. During the final battle, Ivy attacks Batman and Catwoman again hoping to brainwash them, but Batman resists, knocking Ivy out. After the fight had ended, they were all taken back to Arkham Asylum again, including Ivy.
Powers[]
Like most iterations of the character, Poison Ivy possess the ability to control all plant life and even manipulate external appendages such as vines to act in ways which they usually would not. She also possesses the ability to control the human mind via pheromones and bring her victims into a false illusion, which she attempts to utilize on Batman before being knocked unconscious. Her connection to plants evidently has a non-conscious factor to it as well, seeing as her plants catch her fall even though she was already incapacitated.
