Polyester and Polyurethane are the secondary antagonists in Season 2 of the adult comedy anime series Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt. They are two angel brothers sent from Heaven to replace Panty and Stocking as the ghost hunters of Daten City. They both work under Ramie, their own father and Panty and Stocking's uncle.
Polyester is voiced by Junya Enoki (who also voiced Bass in Princession Orchestra and Degesu in Dragon Ball Daima) in the Japanese version and Hunter McCoy in English. Polyurethane is voiced by Yūto Uemura (who also voiced Plasma Bomber in Super Bomberman R and Jyugo in Nanbaka) in Japanese and Corey Wilde in English.
Personalities[]
Polyester and Polyurethane are both egotistical individuals who think rather highly of themselves due to the new-age technology they use. The duo are lazy and refuse to work overtime hours, unlike their father. When off the clock, they won't lift a finger to help anyone, even if a ghost is attacking them. As soon as they're scheduled to work, they immediately resume their work with an insane level of professionalism.
The two commonly use Gen-Z slang such as "unc", "lock in", "new-gen", and "what the helly?" much to the annoyance of those around them. Neither sibling has a particularly high opinion on demons, with Polyurethane having a particularly hateful disposition towards them. When angered or pushed to their limit, the two will become overdramatic and in Polyester's case, even threaten suicide.
Unlike Scanty and Kneesocks before them, neither sibling has very differentiating personality traits, though when Ramie gives them permission to call him father Polyester becomes overjoyed while Polyurethane falls into an excited, bloodlusted rage.
Powers and Abilities[]
Polyester & Polyurethane's detailed forms during their transformation sequence.
Like the Anarchy and Daemon sisters, Polyester and Polyurethane have the ability to transform their clothing into weapons. Both have gold-colored speedos they utilize for the transformation, with Polyester's weapon being a four barreled-gun gauntlet and Polyurethane's being a winged sabaton with a blade on the end. The two are very proficient in their abilities, with both siblings able to keep up with the Anarchy and Daemon sisters as well as eliminate dozens of ghosts at the same time.
Polyester has a ghost detection system implanted in his eye called the Ghost Vision Pro Max. This lets him immediately know when a ghost will appear so he can eliminate it. It also lets him see through a ghost's disguise.
The duo have the ability to transmorph people, with them turning Scanty and Kneesocks into a combined horse because the sisters dared to speak to them.
The two also have a large truck (Double Low-Riser) that has the ability to split into two separate vehicles, making it easier for them to partake in their angelic duties.
