Pork Pie Hat Kid is a minor antagonist in JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run. He is a assassin working under Funny Valentine, tasked with recovering the Saint's left arm from Gyro Zeppeli and Johnny Joestar. He wields the Stand known as Wired.
Personality[]
Pork Pie Hat Kid is an eccentric fighter with no sense of tact as he will often eat and drink anything that comes into his view such as the ink of a pen or a whole coffee pot, at one point even wondering if he could eat his broken teeth. Instead of checking items he retrieves he tends to hit them with a rock.
He is somewhat insecure as his main reasoning for retrieving the Saints left arm is to get a promotion and as be scene as "invincible and smart" implying his colleagues look down on him for his behavior
Despite his quirks, Pork Pie Hat Kid is still shown to be a capable tactician in a Stand fight. Aware of his primary objective of securing the Corpse Parts, he takes the time to analyze the situation and is shown to devise several plans to counter the enemy actions, at one point using Gyro as a bait after having predicted that Johnny would come to save his companion or release Slow Dancer near Johnny to weaponize the horse' instinctual will to go to its rider and then detect the hidden Johnny.
JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Steel Ball Run[]
Pork Pie Hat Kid is introduced atop a train carrying President Funny Valentine, who gives him the order to retrieve the left arm of the Holy Saint from Johnny Joestar and Gyro Zeppeli right before he steals away a coffee pot. Pork Pie uses his Stand to kidnap Gyro along with his and Johnny's luggage and horses while they were riding through a desert.
Pork Pie Hat Kid through his Stand Wired proceeds to transform objects like feathers and bugs into bait that sends out wired hooks with enough strength to lift a horse. He manages to catch Johnny and begins to pull out the corpse, Johnny's stand activates and shoots at Pork Pie.
Pork Pie realizes that Gyro signaled to Johnny where to find him so he retaliated by hitting him with Wired, despite this Pork Pie declares he'll let Gyro live as bait and changes tactics to try and kill Johnny. Starting by sending Johnny's horse out to find him, once the horse reaches Johnny's location Pork Pie drops gasoline on the the ground and drops a match to ignite them both, Johnny however uses a wood decoy long enough to shoot Pork Pie once more. Pork Pie furious with the damage he has taken turns Gyro into bait, by the time Johnny finds him Pork Pie Hat Kid uses Wired to force Johnny into torturing Gyro unless he surrenders the left arm of the corpse, threatening to kill him if he refuses. Johnny surrenders and Pork Pie Hat Kid takes the arm and runs away bragging that he'll be promoted, but before he attempts to use Wired to kill them both, He realized Gyro activated his spin ability onto left arm of the corpse and its nails proceed to shoot Pork Pie Hat Kid down. Later Valentine's men confirm that Pork Pie Hat Kid's injuries were beyond treatable.
Powers and Abilities[]
Pork Pie Hat Kid's Stand is Wired which gives him the ability to transfer two hooks from his mouth strong enough to tear through flesh into a dish. Through the dish Pork Pie can make the hooks appear through any object he chooses ranging from insects, body parts or even feathers.

- Pork Pie Hat Kid's name is a reference to the Charles Mingus song;Goodbye Pork Pie Hat that would later be covered by Jeff Beck.
