Kochi, or better known as Poseidon, is the main antagonist of the anime movie Doraemon: Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil. Originally a sinister Mu scientist, he escaped their civilization and established his own facility to take over the world, and transferred his own consciousness into a robot body, taking on the name Poseidon.
He was voiced by the late Kōsei Tomita.
Personality[]
Back when he was still Kochi, Poseidon was already sinister and power hungry, willing to betray his own civilization in order to dominate the world. As Poseidon, he is a ruthless machine who seeks to kill anyone who witnesses his crimes, including his former fellow Mu people, and doesn't care about any unfortunate lifeform that gets caught in his weapon experiments, hence the destruction of various ships. When Shizuka tries to tell him of how harmful his actions would be to the world, he outrightly refuses to listen and forces her to watch her friends being defeated before ordering her execution, showing that he not only cares about power at the expense of everything else but also has no qualms against harming children.

Eons ago, Kochi was a sinister Mu scientist who desired to control the world. To this end, he escaped their civilization and established his own kingdom of machines, as well as transferring his own consciousness into a robot body, taking on the name Poseidon. In this form, he controls and manages the automatic retaliation system of Oniiwa Castle, the launch base for Atlantis' nuclear missiles. Poseidon's war machines were responsible for the disappearance and destruction of various ships in the legends, spawning the myths of Atlantis and the Bermuda Triangle.
Doraemon: Nobita and the Castle of the Undersea Devil[]
When Suneo and Gian steals Doraemon's robot car, Buggy, to explore the Bermuda Triangle, they're accidentally knocked unconscious but rescued by the Mu people. However, Poseidon then has his ship attack them, but they thankfully escape. Later on, Poseidon's ship spies on the main group.
Shortly after the main group travels to the Mu kingdom, Poseidon has his ship attack its inhabitants, but the group defeat it. Poseidon then tests his nuclear bombs on the Bermuda Triangle's volcanos and attacks a Mu ship that is spying on Atlantis. As such, the main group alongside El travel in Doraemon's robot car, Buggy, to fight against Atlantis' forces.
Shizuka then volunteers to be captured by Poseidon's men so she can convince him to stop the plan, but he doesn't listen. Meanwhile, the group board Oniiwa Castle to rescue her and defeat Poseidon's men. While Shizuka assures Poseidon that she'll be rescued, he forces her to watch her friends being defeated, much to her despair. He then orders her execution.
However, Doraemon manages to invade Poseidon's room in time and demands him to release Shizuka, only to fall unconscious. Just when all hope seems lost, Buggy instructs Shizuka to let him out of Doraemon's pocket. Once out, he defeats Poseidon's men before shoving himself into the mad AI's mouth, sacrificing himself to destroy him. With Poseidon dead, his soldiers lose function and Atlantis crumbles before being consumed by the volcanos' lava, ending his dream of world domination once and for all.
