Possessed Klug, more commonly known as Strange Klug by the fanbase, is the final boss of Puyo Pop Fever 2 in the hard difficulty. He is the nameless Red Spirit after taking over the body of Magic School student, Klug.

Biography[]

Puyo Pop Fever[]

The Red Spirit is never mentioned, and is only seen with Klug during combat, he acts similarly to a familiar to Klug, assisting him with his magic attacks. He visibly twitches in pain when Klug loses or takes damage.

Puyo Pop Fever 2[]

Amitie's Story[]

Klug, looking to increase his magic powers, learns from Lemres that his old magic book could be the key to what he seeks. Having already obtained two of the sacred items required to unlock the book's true power, Klug searches for the final piece, the Moon Stone. After a small skirmish with Amitie, Klug disappears.

Once Klug gathers all three items at the ruins. The power from within his tome is unlocked. However, the book was not a vessel for hidden powers like he hoped. It was a prison housing the spirit of a once great mage who went mad with power and tried to take over the world. The Red Spirit takes over Klug's body and traps Klug's spirit inside the book. Unfortunately for him, Klug's body was not a worthy vessel for his magical powers, so he could not unleash them.

Sig's Story[]

Sig, on his mission to escort the Ocean Prince back to the ocean, passes through the ruins and runs into Klug. The Red Spirit notices Sig's red arm, and realizes the boy is his one of his descendants he left behind and that his body would be the perfect vessel for him to recover his old strength. He is unable to defeat Sig, however. And the boy leaves to continue his quest, seemingly unbothered by any of these events.

Raffina also runs into Klug and defeats him, but says she couldn't care less about what will happen to his body and leaves after taking the now shattered Moon Stone.

Amitie's Story Part 2[]

With Lemres guiding her, Amitie meets the Red Spirit. Initially he tries to trick her by trying to act normal, but she points out that Klug wears different glasses than the spirit, and exposes his true identity, forcing the Red Spirit to fight one last time. He is defeated a third time, and is sealed again when Amitie removes the bookmark from Klug's book. Klug gives Amitie the bookmark as thanks for saving him.

Puyo Puyo 7[]

Though not mentioned in the story, when Klug uses his adult transformation he turns into Possessed Klug, possibly implying that in the future, the spirit will take over his body permanently.

Trivia[]

  • Due to Sig being the modern counterpart of Schezo Wegey, being the S in the ARS trio alongside Amitie and Raffina, Possessed Klug's story is similar to Rune Lord's.
