History[]
For an indeterminate amount of time, Prees Tak has been serving as the Imperial Governor of Sector 14B of Ruhelen, in the Omicron Reticuli star system, where the G-Nome laboratory is located. Over the course of ten years, his brethren experimented on Union prisoners of war, seeking to create a bioweapon to tip the scales in their favor. This culminated in the captured Sergeant Ron Pearl being mutilated into the G-Nome by 2225.
Having become aware of these illegal experiments, the Union Intelligence Agency (UIA) dispatches a covert incursion past the border town of Ur-Binshar, led by Sergeant Joshua Gant, to euthanize the G-Nome and destroy all remnants of the program. After wreaking havoc on Sector 14B bases of Ur-Kinsk, Ur-Ulit and Ur-Alr, the team destroys the laboratory, only for their Scorp specialist Jack Sheridan to betray them, while the G-Nome escapes. Tak's forces capture the team's munitions expert Stephen Kylie and jails him at the regional headquarters.
Gant and the genetecist Dr. Victoria Thane attempt to break Kylie out, when Tak and his forces surround them. After the pair surrender, Kylie explains to his brothers-in-arms that not only does Sheridan have the G-Nome, but intends to clone it at his base hidden in the nearby volcanic Shalten Frontier. Tak negotiates an alliance, until the G-Nome threat is neutralized, and stages a defense with the UIA operatives against Sheridan's battalion. Sheridan's main column escapes into the Keersh Marshes - Tak honors his agreement with the Union by escorting them to the Shalten Frontier and providing them with vehicles and supplies.
After Sheridan is killed and the G-Nome is presumed dead, Tak's colleagues from the Scorp Imperial Tribune officially declares war on the Union Alliance.
