Priestess Zayd is the main antagonist of the Japanese adult manga Reincarnation Colosseum. She is the arch-nemesis of Mikagami Kouji, and friend to Desmos Salamandis.

Biography[]

Zayd was originally belong in the world same as her arch-nemesis, Mikagami Kouji. She is the abusive aunt of Fine Catastrophe (originally Philly). She is the former master and benefactor of the Holy Four.

She forced her niece (formerly nephew) to do her dirty works or else she will expose his cheating skills where she turned Philly (now known Fine) into a girl.

She also has a vague connection to Zulu, who she imprisoned before she summoned Mikagami to her world (it is possible and likely that she was a man who was turned into a woman by Zayd and possibly raped or had her underlings do it).

When summoning Mikagami, she tormented him and locked him up for the colosseum. She is shown dismay that one of the Holy Four, Mary Landorott had failed her and became Mikagami's sex slave. She picked Marl Baroque to kill Mikagami for her only to fail her (as Mary did) when she was paralyzed due to the love potions as well, since using the potion weren't considered a violation in the tournament's rules, Marl became Mikagami's next slave after Mary. She has shown her fury when her reputation as a head priestess was dragged into the dirt. She later picked Alice Cotton to kill Mikagami only for the spatial magic user to fail her as both Mary and Marl had, being taken as Mikagami's third slave. As she is about to lose everything, Zayd has no choice but to choose her niece, Fine Castrophe to kill Mikagami. However, like the others, her niece fails, becoming another one of Mikagami's slaves. Zayd was horrified to see that her niece was turned into a brainless sex slave.

While about to leave to avoid getting arrested, she is confronted by Alice. Zayd thought Mikagami might have violated the tournament rules due to Alice's assistance but it's revealed slaves are allowed to help their masters in their fights. Zayd soon escapes but vowes that she will kill Mikagami if it's the last thing she do.

She then recruits Alexandros Byrne and gives him Chris Ena, apparently forced against her will into a fight she didn't even know she was in, as a healer to ensure he defeats Mikagami. It is revealed that she is sitting in her mansion in the garden, still trying to remotely dispose of Mikagami and regain her authority. Unfortunately, Alexandros loses and Chris Ena becomes Mikagami's new slave, though it is unknown whether she knows about it or not.

Appearance[]

Zayd is a tall, massively voluptous woman with purple hair and purple eyes. She wore a white bikini-like outfit and a priestess hat. She wore a black cape.

Personality[]

Zayd is a psychopathic, arrogant, short-tempered, selfish, and twisted priestess. She dismissed those who are weak and tormented them as they were useless. She is shameless when turning men into women. She doesn't care about anyone besides herself and even viewed the Holy Four as pawns at her disposal and is more than willing to abandoned any one of them without remorse, should they ever fail her.

She has no love for her niece (formerly nephew) Fine Catastrophe (originally Philly) as she abused her to do her dirty works or else she will expose her cheating skills (It can also be assumed that she killed her nephew's parents, either when he had already become a formidable fighter, or after he became part of the Holy Four, since given Zayd's personality and the potential that Fine's parents could have opposed such a decision, it is entirely possible).

She is a failure intolerance. As shown when Mary was defeated by Mikagami, she shows her insanity at Mary's failure and dismisses her as part of the Four Holy for her being worthless. When Marl lost to Mikagami, Zayd was shown be even more pissed and dismisses Marl for being a muscle-brained fool. She becomes more enraged when Alice (despite her spatial magic) fails her as well and dismisses Alice for being weak. and finally after her niece, Fine was defeated, Zayd shows even more anger when her niece failed her as well willing to abandon her kin for being useless against Mikagami.

However, Zayd is also brutally hypocritical, cowardly, and stupid, as she is nothing without her power and authority, simply ordering pawns (which she sees in all humans, including her "friend" Desmos, as their interactions are limited to a few mentions and that's it) to do her work for her. Her intelligence, among others, is even lower, as she keeps making the same mistake and can't think of anything better than sending another fighter to kill Mikagami this time. This is very ironic, as she considers ordinary humans and fighters with the ability to copy abilities (or weaklings in short) to be worthless, but she is the personification of it. While she seems to have some respect for the truly strong, this is most likely also hypocritical pragmatism in order to simply recruit more pawns for her use (also, she herself showed dishonor when she started rewriting the rules of the battles in the Colosseum to not give Mikagami a chance to win, which is very mean and unfair).

Zayd is also responsible for one terrible rule in the Colosseum, which states that if a man loses, he will become a woman and the winner's slave. However, even if the man dies, he will be reborn as a woman, indicating that such a fate is inevitable and they are still doomed to a fate far worse than death.

Ultimately, Zayd is nothing more than a heartless, vile, disgusting, narcissistic and disgraceful woman who is motivated solely by her inflated ego that she considers herself to be a human being on the level of God, but in fact, this is a stupid delusion, as she is an extremely pathetic sight in honesty.

Trivia[]

  • Due to Mikagami having impregnated Zayd's neice, Fine Catastrophe, he is now technically her nephew-in-law, despite them being arch-nemeses.
  • She will likely eventually become one of Mikagami's slaves as well, due to the nature of the series. However, this is not yet confirmed.
  • As her nephew/niece's last name is Catastrophe, it can be assumed her last name is as well.
